I just sailed on Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas from Miami with family & friends. It’s been awhile since I was on a mega ship. They offer so much to choose from. The food was great (including their specialty restaurant, Chops, which was outstanding, both food & service), the staff was superb, and the entertainment was amazing (ice skating shows, Broadway plays, comedy clubs, karaoke, and parties on the promenade deck), especially the aquatic show. My heart is breaking for those who live and work in the town of Lahaina, Maui. If any of you had visited that cute fishing town, it was a must-see with the 150 year-old historical Banyon tree. Passport Information - Delays!
You may have heard that the U.S. State Department is experiencing an unprecedented surge of passport applications and renewals this travel season, resulting in major processing delays. Currently, it’s taking 10–13 weeks for routine passport renewals and applications (and 7–9 weeks for expedited service) – and that doesn’t include up to four weeks of mailing time.
If you are traveling internationally soon, take the following actions now to ensure passport delays don’t derail your vacation plans:
• Check the expiration date of your passport before you confirm your travel plans. For international travel, it is strongly recommended that your passport be valid for at least six months after your return date.

• Note that if your passport is expired, you can still renew it up to five years after the expiration date.

• Budget a minimum of 17 weeks total (about four months) for your routine passport renewal or application to be completed. Expedited service costs an additional $60 and processing times are currently 7–9 weeks; plan for at least 13 weeks (about three months) for expedited passports.

• Check the U.S. State Department website for the most up-to-date information on passport renewal and application, including current processing times.
