Aftermath Service -

We are on our way back to your boat as soon as the storm passes to begin our Aftermath Service. We will: soap, scrub, rinse your boat; remove all adhesive residue left by the tape used to secure control covers, hatches and lockers; reset canvas, place seats, and remove our tarp from the cabin; pack up all the additional fenders and lines left with your boat. All undamaged additional materials can be bought back from you if you reserved your spot ahead of time. We will conduct a damage check across the entire vessel and take 30 new pictures (15 before cleanup, 15 after) to be added to your report freeing you from the nerve-racking experience of visiting your vessel after a storm.

Ship Shape will continue to be ready to save the day when the storms are right around the corner. We actively track storms as they are forming off the coast of Africa long before they are broadcasted. We will contact you as soon as we know the storm is headed your way, setting a date for us to come prep your boat. During the consultation, we assess the vessel, all removable items aboard, lines, fenders, anchors, hatches, and controls, ensuring all are accounted for. Creating your yachts best hope for riding out the storm. Storms move fast, the only way to guarantee that we can get to your boat and remove the stress of doing it yourself is to reserve your spot at the front of the line. All others will be contacted, if there are any unreserved slots those interested will be serviced only after all reservations have been completed.

A crew is dispatched to your yacht every month. Once she is in our hands we will spend a set amount of time each month perfecting the aesthetic, tidying the cabin, and stocking drinks & toiletries! We will start with a wash-down and wax, then the crew will go down the list hitting all “Monthly” items and assessing “As Needed” tasks. Waxing is an item we will always take care of, all surfaces don’t require wax every visit. We keep detailed notes of each visit to keep the crews on the same page. You will receive a report of what was completed sent in an email with all other reports.

Ship Shape will keep you in the loop! Never show up to dead batteries or an empty fuel tank again. Our full service includes conducting a systems check during your detail. We allow you to tailor which services you need every visit, opposed to those which can be less frequent or are unneeded entirely. You will receive a report after each visit highlighting the levels, quantities, and any needed repairs.

The most stressful time of the year for a boat owner is hurricane season. At Ship Shape Yacht Maintenance we tailor hurricane prep plans for each client to mitigate as much damage as possible. We monitor storm system development so we can gear up to prep your boat before local news channels are even broadcasting it. After the storm has passed a crew is dispatched to clean, reset, and check for damage.
