Don Nyren Masonry

Just finished this basement walkout rebuild.
The existing walls were falling apart.
I removed all the loose stones and reset the base stones. Then I rebuilt the walls using new stone.
Finally, new granite cap stones were installed.
New pavers will be installed in the landing area.

I just finished this new cobblestone planter wall in Medfield.
I had installed the new granite steps a few years ago.
There had been a crumbling stone wall there for years. The customers wanted a cleaner look so I removed the existing stone and built the new wall and filled the space with new River Rock.

Started this Garden wall this week here in Medfield.
Using the White Mountain Select stone from Sam White & Sons.

Just finished this bluestone patio and front entry renovation in Dover.
We re-used most of the existing stones and added in some new stones for the additional walkway in back.
Most of the existing stones in the front were unsalvageable so a new Cambridge Bluestone XL paver was used on the rebuild.

I recently finished these new front steps in Medfield.
The existing steps were deteriorated and crumbling so I removed them and built these new brick and granite steps and rebuilt the existing brick walkway section in front of them.

I recently finished this outdoor kitchen in Medfield.
The customers and I designed this together.
I built the structure and installed the cabinets then installed the stone veneer.
The countertop was fabricated and installed by 3 SM in Millis.

Just finished this new set of steps in Medfield.
The existing steps had been “repaired” several times and a couple of layers were added on top of the previous mess.
After hauling away all the debris, a new footing was poured and 2 new steps with red brick and Blue Mist Granite treads were installed after some carpentry was done around the door.

Just finished this new Techo Bloc patio in Millis.
A nice sunny spot to relax and watch the chickens!

Just finished this pool area stonewall in Dover.
Now the rest of the site work can get done.

Just finished this front entry renovation in Medfield.
I removed the existing concrete steps and installed a new set of Granite steps.
Next, I removed the old walkway and installed the new Paver walkway.

Just finished this new walkway in Medfield.
The existing bluestone walkway was deteriorating and needed to be replaced.
I installed a new Techo Bloc paver walkway.
Now it’s good to go for years to come!

Finished these stone columns at this pool patio area in Norfolk earlier this week.
New England Blend thin stone veneer was installed along with custom made limestone caps.

Just finished this new patio in Holliston.
There was a small, deteriorating block patio in place which I removed.
Then I installed a new granite step and this new Cambridge Paving Stones patio.

This old wall was falling over and becoming a hazard. The soil from behind the wall had been pushing it forward for years.
I have rebuilt it securing each stone with mortar and backfilling with crushed stone for drainage purposes.
Should be good to go for many years now.

Just finished this new front walkway.
The existing concrete walkway was in poor shape so it needed to be removed.
After 3.5 days of demo I was able to start building the new walk.
Thanks to Danny Fitzgerald for all his help with the jackhammer! This was the toughest demo in years!
New Techo Bloc blue 60 pavers were installed this week!

Just finished this front entry renovation in Medfield.
The existing flagstone over concrete patio and brick steps had to be removed.
New Granite steps and landing were installed.
A new Techo Bloc paver walkway with granite edging was then put in place.

Some recent projects from the past year

Just finished this front entry renovation.
The old modular steps and concrete walkway were in rough shape so I removed them and replaced the steps with new stone and granite steps. The walkway is a new Techo Bloc paver walkway with polymeric sand joints.

Just finished this new brick and bluestone fireplace hearth built around the brand new gas fireplace they recently installed.

Just finished reconfiguring this stone fireplace facade.
The existing bluestone mantle needed to be removed so the clients could install their big screen tv on it.
This had to be done in 3 stages to avoid a catastrophic collapse.
Several new stones had to be incorporated into the mix to eliminate the single straight joint across the facade.

Just finished this new side entry in Medfield.
The existing wooden steps were too narrow and cramped to open the door comfortably so I created a couple of landings to make it a much easier and safer access.

Just finished this new Techo Bloc retaining wall in Norfolk.
Soon the wall lights will be wired up and ready to go.
