Looking for CSD students who are interested in a field trip to Shock Trauma in Baltimore & Dental Museum on Tuesday, July 23rd. This program is for any current Cambridge-South Dorchester High School students who are considering going into the healthcare field after high school or college. We would like to take 25 students with us for this very special program. The program is completely FREE.

The Vikings celebrated the end of an amazing school year with F I E L D D A Y! There were snow cones, games, smiles and laughs, but we’ll let the photos speak for themselves!

Thank you Dr. Boyd and Ms. Bell for coming to speak to our 70+ students today during Power Hour about Dual Enrollment next year.

These students are already prepping for their future classes and asked great questions!

It’s the last week of School for the 23-24 School year!!!

Device returns for 10th and 11th grade is on Monday. For 9th graders, they will be called down Tuesday to return their laptops and chargers.

Wednesday, we will be having Field Day in the afternoon.

Friday is our last day of School for students and staff!!! Report cards will be sent home and it is an early dismissal day.

C-SDHS staff and students participated in Orange Out Day to honor the life and memory of Sandy Hill Elementary School teacher, Ms. Lizzi Cockey!

We’d like to formally introduce the man behind the mascot— Ashton Hyland! Ashton will be taking on the role of being the C-SDHS Viking, and you can find him boosting morale and school spirit for the Vikings! 💪💪

Sharing Mrs. Shaw’s summer office hours with students & families because she works over the summer and wants to be accessible to CSD & South Dorchester students in grades 6-8. Career Coaches can help students by using Naviance and other tools to match their talents & interests with successful pathways, jobs & careers. They also help students create goals that lead to success, learn essential skills, organizational skills, create resumes, find internships, apprenticeships, gain self-confidence, offer career counseling, and find part-time employment & real-world opportunities, that help them find success. Mrs. Shaw’s hours during the summer will be 6 a.m. until 4 p.m.. She will be out in the community quite often to be accessible to students. She has collaborated with the Dorchester County Public Library and will be holding open office hours there from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., so students may meet with her there (in the Young Adult section). We hope everyone is enjoying their day off of school and resting up for a full week ahead!

This week is the last week for tutoring and evening high school. That will run from Tues-Thurs 3-5pm.

Tuesday at 6pm we will have the Baccalaureate service for Seniors. All are welcome!

Wednesday morning there will be a mandatory graduation practice at 8AM.

Thursday is the big celebration for Seniors- Graduation!!! You must have a ticket for entrance.

The sun has set on the last day of school for the Class of 2024 Vikings, but it was not an uneventful one! What started with a class photo and transition of leadership with CSD’s Passing of the Key, ended with their Senior Sunset at Great Marsh— but not without a little food, fun and lifetime memories with their Senior Picnic and Senior Parade first!

Our Senior graduates traveled to Choptank Elementary, Sandy Hill Elementary, Maple Elementary, and South Dorchester K-8 this morning to visit their former teachers, administrators, and in some cases their family.

This is one of our favorite traditions and we appreciate the collaboration to make this happen.

This week is busy with Math MCAP testing Monday and Tuesday at 8AM.

We have Senior Attendance Interventions Monday and Tuesday during 3rd and 4th period, and All day Wednesday. Thursday morning our seniors will travel to their Elementary schools for the Senior walk. Friday is the Senior meeting, passing of the key, and Senior picnic.

We have Power hour clubs still happening and tutoring and Evening High is Tuesday- Thursday.

Good luck to our Track team as they head to the State Championship Wednesday and Thursday!!

Todd earns four titles; Vikes win boys crown STEVENSVILLE — Cambridge-South Dorchester High’s girls track and field program has had a nice list of talented athletes, including a handful of state champions.

There was a mixture of emotions in the Viking gymnasium this afternoon. Our last Viking Pep Rally for the seniors… and the Student vs Staff Basketball game.

The staff will be getting their ice packs out this weekend to recover, but it was worth the good time had by all the students and staff.
