AS we do each Saturday here in Portland, members of several community organizations, including the Alliance for Democracy and the OR Progressive Party, we'll gather at the east end of the Burnside Bridge to hold signs promoting peace and opposing war.

Please join us.
Location: East end of the the Burnside Bridge in front of the auto dealership on E. Burnside and Martin Luther King Jr Blvd.
Time: Gather at 3 PM; end by 4:30 PM.
Signs: I will bring signs, so no need to bring your own. Our signs are clearly lettered with large easy to read font and font size. Messages include "Give Peace a Chance", "Fund medicare, not warfare", "US military is the world's number one polluter" "Cut Student Debt and the War Budget". Cut $100 billion fro the war budget", "We can fund the War Machine or human needs but not both". and more. Signs are directed at the environment and economic consequences of the huge US war budget, not at specific wars or military actions.
