Congratulations to 2 of our Academy of Health Science graduates on completing the Medical Assistant Apprentice Program with Orlando Health and Orange Tech on July 29th. On the left is Richalia Watson (2023 grad) and on the right is Angelina Siddiq (2022 grad). Angelina also received the Academic and Clinical Achievement Award. Both have accepted jobs at Orlando Health. We are so proud of them!

Girls Golf starts soon! A 9-hole tryout & skills assessment will be held on August 9. Registration is required for all Lady Braves planning to try out. Course location & arrival times will be assigned & sent to you once the form below is complete.

Reminder: All athletes must have FHSAA athletic clearance in order to try out (which includes a current physical and an ECG).

Welcome your Boone High School counselors for the 2024-25 school year! Please remember that student schedules are still fluctuating until Braves are Back on August 8.

Counselors will only address the following scheduling issues:
- Less than 7 scheduled classes
- Missing a core class
- Duplicate periods (i.e. two 7th periods)
- Scheduled into a class previously taken

The Florida Department of Education has released school grades for the 2023-24 school year. Boone HS has earned an “A”! Congratulations to our students and staffulty members for this accomplishment!

Please park in the student parking lot off of Mills Avenue to enter campus.

Thursday, August 8th
9th Grade: 8 am – 10 am
10th Grade: 10 am – 12 pm
11th and 12th Grade: 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm

In the cafeteria, students will be able to pick up their schedule, purchase Boone gear from the Trading Post, join PTSO, purchase class shirts, and sign up for tours. Students will also be able to visit their classrooms to meet their teachers before the first day of school.

UPDATE!

Due to a delay in data migration, our Device Distribution event will be postponed to July 29th through August 2nd. Freshmen and students new to Boone will pick up devices on August 1st. Students who were originally scheduled for the 29th and 30th will keep their same pick up times and not receive a new email. Students who cannot make it to their appointment are welcome to join us on August 2nd starting at 8:00 AM. Appointment times for students impacted by this adjustment will again be sent to OCPS student email accounts. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Each award provides up to $2,000 annually to help them achieve their college dreams!

These brilliant students join more than 2,900 other college-sponsored award recipients who were announced in June and 6,900 in total for this year! Congrats!

There are just a few more weeks until the start of the 2024-25 school year. We are excited to announce the newest staffulty members of Boone High School! Please take a moment to welcome our new Assistant Principal and new members of our instructional team. We are very lucky to have them join our Brave family 🧡🤍

🏃‍♂️Our Cross Country Braves attended distance running camp last week at Brevard College in North Carolina! They all got some good quality miles on the trails and made lifelong memories bonding with their teammates. So proud of their hard work and dedication!

Band Camp is fast approaching!! It isn't too late to be a member of the SOTB. Join us for a season of friendship and memories.
