4th of July is always a party at the S**G communities! 🥳 🇺🇸

We wish all a safe and joyful 4th of July! We hope this holiday gives you an opportunity to spend time with loved ones, and find moments of joy and relaxation.

Our offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4th to celebrate the holiday. We will be back at normal business hours on Friday, July 5th.

What originated at the end of June in 1970 on the first anniversary of Stonewall, Pride Month and Pride Parades are now celebrated throughout the world. Us at S**G celebrate le***an, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, asexual, and intersex (LGBTQAI+) people, their rights, and their celebrations this month.

We hope that all got an opportunity to commemorate this month with viewing one of the many celebrations happening around the Puget Sound. If not, Seattle’s 50th annual Pride Month celebration will close out the month with the annual Seattle Pride Parade on Sunday, June 30 in Westlake Park along 4th Avenue at 11am.

On this day, June 19th, all of us at S**G celebrate Juneteenth, as it celebrates the end of slavery in the United States when Major General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, TX, two months after Gen. Robert E. Lee’s surrendered, and gave the news on the end of the Civil War and and that all slaves are free.

All S**G offices will be closed in observance of this holiday.

Father's Day is always a great around the S**G communities! There was BBQ chicken from the grill master, and residents provided special dishes to serve for the fathers of the communities!

Check out the Memorial Day Celebration at S**G's Titus Village over in Kent! A great event with wonderful food, drinks, and decorations brought out the residents to enjoy time with friends, weather, and get ready for the upcoming summer.

We want to take this Memorial Day to remember the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Their sacrifices are the foundation upon which our nation stands, and it is our duty to ensure that their memories endure.

Residents and staff at S**G's Titus Village in Kent, WA recently came together for a great cause on May 10th for World Lupus Day. You'll see a photo here of them wearing purple to show support and raise awareness for those affected by this unpredictable and life-changing autoimmune disease.

Residents at S**G's New Haven were lucky when fellow resident John Nogales shared his talents as a Florist with the Community this past week. He hosted a succulent workshop for the community and residents were able to put together their ideal garden with the supplies that were provided for them. Thank you John for sharing your amazing skills!

Tis the season for tulips, ain't it? 🌷😄 S**G's New Haven and Interurban in north Seattle got on the S**G shuttle bus and headed up to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival this past week. They had a wonderful time having some lunch and seeing Washington's largest Tulip Gardens in bloom! Take a look at just a peak of the amazing gardens on display.

There's never a more pleasant sight than when Marg & Marv, our resident snowbirds at S**G's New Haven arrive back to enjoy the Spring and Summer season by the fountain and around the community. 😁
These two have come back at least 4 years if not longer, and were right on time this year, showing up on March 19th.

There was quite a Blarney Bash over at Boulevard Place last week for St. Patrick's Day! Over 60 people came out, participated, and brought a side dish or dessert. Look at how tasty everything looks!
Boulevard Place also had amazing volunteers who cooked the corn beef and cabbage, decorated, organized guests and tables, and served!

We hope you all enjoyed the luck of the Irish last week and are ready to head into Spring!

The sun was out, the tree was lit, the food was warm, and the residents of S**G Tukwila Village had a wonderful Christmas party at the Sullivan Center! Check out the photos to see more.

Also, all S**G communities will be closed Friday, December 29th at 1pm, and Monday, January 1st, to give staff time off to celebrate the upcoming New Year. We wish everyone a happy and safe New Year's! Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, January 2nd.

You wouldn't believe who showed up at S**G's New Haven in north Seattle! The Grinch paid a visit, but it looks like his heart has grown a bit as he and the staff at New Haven went around handing Christmas cookies out to the residents! ❤️

The holiday spirit has been bright this month as you can see with S**G's Boulevard Place in Bothell having quite the holiday brunch for the residents! The amazing food was provided by local favorite Alexa's Cafe in downtown Bothell. The office staff were servers (along with the tough job of watching over the Mimosa Station 😁), and everybody had a great time at this amazing event.

The residents at Interurban Senior Living had quite the party, with everyone dressed in their best/ugliest holiday sweaters! The party was a blast, with all enjoying some food and drinks while admiring the fashion show going on. 😄
