I have a Financial Services background and extensive Property Management experience having worked with Transamerica Financial Services, Beneficial Finance, and New World Mortgage and previously owned a boutique hotel in Belize for 12 years. While in Belize I served as Consulate Warden for the U.S. Embassy and served with three U. S. Ambassadors. Velma owned a Hair Salon and Spa and worked administration in our hotel. We have two children, a son, Mike, Jr., and a daughter, Avery.

Most of the time a blank thermostat screen can easily be fixed if you are aware of the possible causes. Before you jump to conclusions make sure the thermostat isn’t just turned off. Happens all the time. Some thermostats have a low display brightness mode if there is too much light in the room it will darken up to save energy. The most common cause of a thermostat blank screen is dead batteries. If your thermostat runs on batteries try replacing them; newer thermostats may not have batteries and will use a capacitor to store energy if there is a power outage. The next most likely cause is a tripped circuit breaker, check your electrical panel and reset the breaker, if that does not do it you may want to call in an HVAC expert.
