Authorities search for missing Vermont woman

Vermont State Police on Monday received a report that Jessica Robishaw, 36, had not had contact with family for several weeks and there are concerns for her well-being.

Police say she was last believed to be living somewhere in the Grand Isle area but could also possibly be in Franklin or Chittenden counties.

The Boy Who Went Fishing And Never Returned. What Happened To Anthony?

On October 29, 1995, 18-year-old Anthony Robert Bass left home in Atwater, California, to go fishing with his neighbor, Joel Wedge.

Joel told authorities they never went fishing, and he dropped Anthony off at a baseball game in Chowchilla, California.

Anthony has never been seen or heard from again.

"I never saw him again," his mother, Cindy Sandlin, told SF Gate.

Anthony has never been found and no charges were ever filed in connection with his disappearance.

Anthony Robert Bass was 5'2" and weighed 150 pounds when he vanished.

Sheriff’s office asking for help locating missing man The sheriff’s office said in a press release that 59-year-old Gregory Whitney was last seen in mid-February at a home in the 3200 block of D 3/4 Road in Clifton.

A statewide silver alert is in place throughout New Hampshire for a missing elderly woman whom authorities believe is vulnerable.

New Hampshire State Police say Carol Gemmiti, 66, of Ossipee suffers from dementia. She was last seen walking on Bay Point Road in Ossipee at about 11:00 Friday morning. Gemmiti is 5’6″ tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds. She was wearing a sweater and gray sweatpants when she disappeared.

Troopers ask anyone who may have any information about Gemmiti to call the Ossipee police Department at (603) 539-2284.

Community Update: Missing Person - Kristoffer King

The Natick Police Department continues to seek the community's assistance in locating Kristoffer King, a 38-year-old male from Natick, MA, who has been missing since Saturday, September 14, 2024, at approximately 10:00 PM. Kristoffer experiences cognitive impairment, and we are concerned for his safety.

We have attached an updated photo of Kristoffer for your reference.

Kristoffer is described as 6'0" tall, weighing 200 pounds, with brown eyes, short brown hair, and salt/pepper facial hair. He was last seen wearing jeans, a black hoodie, checkered patterned flip-flops, a green beanie, and carrying a blue backpack.

Kristoffer does not have his wallet, phone, or vehicle, and we ask that anyone who may have seen him or has any information regarding his whereabouts to come forward.

58-year-old Timothy Hyde was last seen in Little Rock on Thursday and could be traveling in a red Chevrolet Silverado truck.
He is described as being 6'0" in height and weighing about 220 pounds.

UPDATE, 9/27/24 – The Sheriff’s Office is still seeking help in finding Manuel Alvarado.

MENDOCINO CO., 8/1/24 – The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is seeking the public’s help in finding a missing man from Covelo.

The man, 44-year-old Manuel Alvarado, has been missing since July 22. He is described as a Hispanic male, 5’8”-5’10” tall, weighing approximately 210 pounds, with black hair and a muscular build. He has tattoos on both arms.

According to MCSO, Alvarado was reported missing from Covelo by his family on July 22. In a series of text messages with his mother, Alvarado shared that he loved her, he was going to die, and to send help.

MCSO and the California Highway Patrol (CHP) tried to locate Alvarado using his GPS coordinates from the cell phone. It reported him 19 miles east of Covelo, south of Mendocino Pass Road at Jumpoff Creek. Officers worked in the dark to locate Alvarado, including pinging his cell phone, which did not respond due to having a drained battery, being turned off or out of its service area.

On July 23, CHP flew a helicopter over the area but were unable to locate Alvarado. The next day, MCSO’s Search and Rescue Team and CHP continued the search, which led them to a cannabis grow. Individuals there reported that they too had tried to find Alvarado to no avail. He was last seen using methamphetamine and acting paranoid. They said he took a walk and never returned.

Deputies searched the property, with permission, and there were no signs of foul play. The search from ground and air continued with no luck.

According to MCSO, “Further search and rescue efforts will continue, and we are currently establishing search plans for these efforts.”

Anyone with information regarding Alvarado’s whereabouts is requested to call the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center at 707-463-4086.

He was last known to be living in Seattle, WA but has lived in Oregon and California as well. He informed his family that he was leaving the US , but no evidence shows that he departed.
