“Together, We Are” is a collection of 28 students art, poems and artist statements. All works in the gallery come from students at Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School in Mrs. Jarjoura's class.

Every student’s artwork is based around the theme of , which includes topics such as inclusivity, human rights and equality.

K-5: It's your time to shine!

Greetings YC2S Families,

This message is a reminder that the M-STEP, PSAT & NWEA will also be administered in-person by trained test administrators according to the requirements set forth by the State of Michigan. All testing will be done at our campus located at 1076 Ecorse Road, Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Testing for 8th graders will take place on Wednesdays, April 10th, 17th and 24th.
Testing for 6th and 7th graders will take place on Thursdays, April 11th, 18th.
Makeup Testing will be done by appointment

Bus Transportation will be provided for students that live in the YCS district. Students riding the bus will arrive at the school between 7:15 and 7:45 a.m. Dismissal and bus pick-up will be between 12:30 and 1:00 p.m. In-district students that ride the bus will be transported home after dismissal. Please remind your student NOT to get off at the Middle School, but to get off at YC2S on Ecorse Road. If your student needs bus transportation, be sure to complete the form below. We will send communication of bus routes and times. If you are transporting your student on those days, please drop off between 7:45 and 8:00 a.m. and pick up between 12:30 and 1:00 p.m.

Transportation Request Form for 2024 Mandatory In-person Testing

Please keep a few things in mind. Students are required to bring their YCS issued technology to testing. This includes Chromebooks, chargers, and headphones. Personal cell phones, smart watches, tablets and other electronic devices are not allowed in the testing sessions and should not be brought into the classrooms. They will be stored until testing is completed. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Students that participate in and complete ALL spring testing will be awarded 300-350 Class Dojo Points for their use in our regular Class Dojo Auctions or school store, if it is available.
