I am taking responsibility for the Lions loss. My patient said he would root for them and even had crossed lucky toes. Well, I uncrossed them surgically just before the game and I may have in such changed the course of history....or just fixed a bunion.
If you broke more than a wish bone today… we are open tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving!
Bunion surgery I performed for this patient 20 years ago and she has since run 50 marathons in fifty states with no pain and still going strong. Excellent road test for the bunion! Proudly printed with permission.

Fracture Friday: When you have an prior fractured bone spur on the big toe joint and you are not ready for a new joint implant yet...we need to find out that a 3 inch heel is your max before you grind away the cartillage. Some patients do better with a visual presentation. With permission

Fracture Friday: Today's surgery, tailor's bunion and hammertoe correction. Pre and post op. With permission. It's called Tailor's Bunion because of the old time sewing machine that was pumped with the foot. The operator would get a large Bunion or bump or inflammation behind their little toe and hence the name.
Fracture Friday: extra toe removed as a child. You can see a tiny extra metatarsal and phalnx bone still present. (With permission)
