I am BACK home … and READY to BAKE!

I booked this Wedding a year ago, before I had any idea what our cabin plans would be. So, I came home to BAKE, and Jim came home to PAINT a few houses.

Since we had gone up to the cabin at different times, we got to drive home separately … with me following him for 600 long miles. 🙂

Today’s Grocery List:

I am baking 300 Cupcakes and a Bridal Cake this week, plus a couple of smaller orders for Layered Lemon Blondies and Turtle Brownies.

You supported me as I took a little idea, and you helped it grow into more than I ever DREAMED!

What none of you knew … was that this little Bake Shoppe Dream was supporting another BIG DREAM!

Every order … whether for one dozen cookies or 500 cupcakes … every single order added to the potential of my BIG DREAM coming true!

The funds from every order were put into an account … with one goal in mind. And … this week … that BIG DREAM was realized!

After a 7 year legal merry-go-round (with my mother’s mixed-up estate) … and 4 years of adding to my Bake Shoppe Bank Account … this week I was able to purchase the Old Family Cabin from my siblings!!!

Our Little Cabin on the Lake is finally OURS!

All 3 of us were put on a Trust for the property that my Grandpa purchased in 1964. Neither of my siblings were interested in using the property, and they very generously gave me a discounted price so that I could pay them cash from my Bake Shoppe savings.

I am so THANKFUL …

… for every Bake Shoppe Customer!

… for my siblings desire to sell to me!

… for every amazing memory that I have from
spending every summer up here, from
1965 - 1976 (age 3-14).

… for all of the summers ahead of us,
to make New Memories w/ Friends & Family!

My heart is truly overflowing with thankfulness,
and excitement for all that this place can be.

A year ago, I made Layered Turtle Brownies for a wedding. This week, the sweet couple ordered a dozen to celebrate their first anniversary. What a fun idea!

I had a Fun Bake Shoppe Weekend!

I made two orders yesterday and today
that Included New Decorating Skills.

The first customer had asked me if I could
make a Scooby Doo Birthday Cake. I quickly asked Google for ideas, and the customer said, “Great!”

So, I learned all about Edible Cake Toppers.

My next customer asked for Succulent Cupcakes
for a Baby Shower. My friend Google, again
came up with some great ideas. Thanks Google! 🙂

After reading this … you all will be thankful that I use Freeze Dried Organic Berries to flavor my Sweet Treats.

Artificial Flavoring is made with CRAZY Stuff!
Who even came up with the idea to use this stuff? Must have been a MAD Scientist!

Sunday, Monday, & Tuesday …
I made 50 9x13 pans of Lemon Blondies.

Wednesday …
I made 50 batches of Raspberry Buttercream

Thursday all day plus Friday morning …
I spent 15 hours in the kitchen on Thursday …
making White Chocolate Ganache,
frosting and ganaching (new word) the blondies,
and cutting and packaging 600 desserts.

2:00 Friday afternoon … I delivered 600
Layered Lemon Raspberry Blondies.

3:00 Home for a nap.

6:00 Back to the venue for the
Collide Conferemce.

Such a great evening, with the added joy of silently watching hundreds of ladies enjoy eating my desserts. ❤️

Today’s Task:

Make 50 BATCHES of FROSTING!

I am BUSY in the kitchen this week …
with a BIG BIG Bake.

Every minute of every day is planned out.

Every inch of each refrigerator & freezer is calculated.

We have 3 refrigerator/freezer combos
(1 for personal and 2 for the Bake Shoppe)
plus 2 stand-up freezers (1 for personal
and 1 for the Bake Shoppe).

We also have a neighbor with a garage refrigerator/freezer which is available when needed. We pay him well … with lots of Sweet Treats.
