Old covanent the letter of the law

New covenant applying the law inward after the inward man.

One the the Lord has shown we is everything the Jews did was to teach us a spiritual truth.

We apply it inward after the inward man

I believe that is why God used Paul.

He was a very learned man and knew the law and when the Lord explained to him the meaning of the law and how to apply it inwardly he became a mighty force for the Gospel.

What I am going to do is look at one of the feast days.

I have seen people on Facebook come right out and say if you are not literally keeping the feast days you are not going to be saved.

I am not God I can not see your heart

I will never say who is going to be saved and who is not going to be saved.

Ok let get into the feast of unleavened bread.

Exodus 12:20 (KJV) Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.

Ok let's look at this verse.

You are to get all of the leaven out of your house.

The old covenant the letter of the law. You get all of the literal leaven out of your literal house

You do not eat anything that has literal leaven in it.

The new covenant to apply this inward after the inward man. Inward is of the mind another way of saying this is spiritually.

Exodus 12:20 (KJV) Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

So we are once again looking for doctrine reproof correction and instruction from this verse.

To do this we are going to apply it inward after the inward man. Of the mind/ spiritually.

The first thing we need to understand is what is your house?

House = the mind / self

Proverbs 24:3 (KJV) Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:

Matthew 7:24 (KJV) Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

1 Peter 2:5 (KJV) Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Psalms 127:1 (KJV) Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

Unless the Lord gives you what to believe you are labouring in vain.

Hebrews 3:6 (KJV) But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

So the house is the mind.

Let's look at what leaven is. I have had some people tell me it is sin.

I disagree with that

Leaven = teachings ( doctrines) that produce a gradual process ( leavening) of growth for good or bad.


Matthew 16:6-7 (KJV) Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.

Notice the disciples were still learning to be spiritual they were looking at leaven as literal bread.

Matthew 16:11-12 (KJV) How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?
Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

Here Jesus just told us that leaven is doctrines.

They can be good or bad doctrines.

If God is saying get rid of it then it has to be a false doctrine

If God says use it then it has to be a true doctrine.

Let's look at a positive leaven verse

Matthew 13:33 (KJV) Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

Now let's put doctrines in for leaven

Now for those of you who think leaven is sin let put that in there.

No leaven is not sin it is doctrines.

Now let's look at some more verses of negative leaven ( doctrines)

Matthew 16:11-12 (KJV) How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?
Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

False doctrines of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

Luke 12:1 (KJV) In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

Beware of the leaven ( false doctrine) of the Pharisees which is hypocrisy

1 Corinthians 5:6-7 (KJV) Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

Any false doctrine is bad. Get rid of all of the false doctrines.

Get all the leaven out of your house.

Get all of the false doctrines out of your mind.

Most are not doing this.

They just play church. It is a social club.

No study no prayer life.

And that is their choice.

Old covent the letter of the law

New covenant applying the law inward after the inward man

This is the new covenant that was taught by Paul.

The Jews hated Him for it.

Romans 7:22 (KJV) For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

Ok now what I am going to do now is explain the old covenant and new covenant by giving you a bible verse and explaining the understanding that I have of that verse in the old covenant and in the new covenant.

Exodus 22:18 (KJV) Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.

Old covanent you literally killed all of the people who were witches.

And they literally did this in the old covenant.

1 Samuel 28:3 (KJV) Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah, even in his own city. And Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land.

Now if you are under the latter of the law you have to literally kill those who proclaim to be a witch.

But we are no longer under the old covanent.

So let's look at Exodus 22:18 and see if we can get some doctrine reproof correction and instruction.

This is the understanding that I have of Exodus under the new covenant.

Exodus 22:18 (KJV) Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.

New covenant understanding.

1 Samuel 15:23 (KJV) For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

So rebellion against God is as the sin of witchcraft.

Now who has rejected against God?

All of us have at one time or another in our lives

I am going to put this personal.

I have.

So who is the witch that must die?

I am.

1 Corinthians 15:31 (KJV) I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

Now I hope we all understand that Paul is not talking literally.

He is not literally dieing every day

He is dieing to self.

I must die to self because I have rebelled against God.

That is the understanding that I have of Exodus 22:18 under the new covenant.

Now there are those who are under the letter of the law that will reject the new covenant understanding of the Bible.

I will be going over more Bible verses in part 8 of my study.

Jeremiah 17:9 (KJV) The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Yes my heart is desperately wicked.

This I have admitted to my self and to God.

So now I have to let Him change my heart.

The understanding I have is that a conversion experience does not change the heart.

It is the begining process. We now have to let the Lord heal us a little bit at a time ridding us of all of the iniquity that has been given to us by men with the world in their hearts

The religious world

Now this is a shock when you find out that your church is teaching error.

I was raised a third generation SDA and when I found out that the pioneers did not believe in the Trinity and now the church is teaching error I was shocked

I loved adventism and I still love the life style.

But this caused me to study my Bible to see if the Trinity was truth or error.

The understanding I have is it is a false doctrine taught by the SDA church.

But that is another subject consisting of long studies

That is the problem with the religious world few know their bibles and few have learned to hear the law in their conscience.

So what I will be getting into now is the old and the new covenants.

What they are and how they apply to the church.

Now this is going to be new to most of you.

All I ask is that you consider.

2 Timothy 2:7 (KJV) Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.

I came to the Lord in 1996. Or I should say I can back to the Lord

What I have learned to do is when I heard something new I considered it prayed about it and let the Lord tell me if it was truth or not

The only way this can be done is through the conscience.

Some times I would have to pray and wait upon the Lord

Stay in prayer. Ask the Lord He will answer you.

Keep studying your Bible.

Get a strong's concordance and learn to look up the words in the original language.

And get with other people who are doing the same

Ask the Lord and He will bring you to His people.

One thing you need to understand is the truth is unlike anything you have heard before.

The Son of God came and spoke the truth and they killed Him.

The disciples spoke the truth and most of them were killed.

Who killed them?

The religious world.

Galatians 4:29 (KJV) But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

The understanding that I have is our pioneers we're getting truth.

They died and the SDA church went into apostasy.

Just like the first century church went into apostasy when the apostles died

Nothing new under the sun.

Ecclesiastes 1:9 (KJV) The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

But it is too big of a shock for some to find out your church is teaching error.

So in part 6 we will get into the old and new convents.

One thing we must all understand that the religious world will not accept the truth they are in Babylon ( confusion about God ).

Few find the truth.

Matthew 7:14 (KJV) Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

I am looking for the few.

Now we have learned how to find truth it must be understood that it takes time to learn to hear the voice of Jesus in the conscience.

Just as a baby has to learn to hear and understand what they are hearing a young new Christian must learn.

But many times the pride gets in the way.

James 4:10 (KJV) Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

We must humble our self.

1 Peter 2:2-3 (KJV) As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

So yes a new Christian needs to learn the milk of the word.

But then he has to grow and get off the milk and on to the meat of the word.

Notice it says that we taste the Lord

Job 34:3 (KJV) For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat.

This is talking about hearing the voice of Jesus in our conscience.

We need to grow. Here Paul is talking to those who refuse to grow but are babes and are staying babes.

1 Corinthians 3:1-3 (KJV) And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

Hebrews 5:12-13 (KJV) For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

It is sad but that is where most profesed Christians are today.

Babes not studying not praying not seeking for the truth

So we must study our bibles pray and continue to learn to hear the holy spirit which is the voice of the Son of God as He speaks to our conscience.

But most are too caught up in the world to study and seek the truth

And that is their choice.

In part two I said I was going to explain how we find the truth.

Job 42:5 (KJV) I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.

The hearing of the ear.

Now this is Job telling us about hearing the voice of God in his conscience.

Notice it says now my eye sees you

This has to be the Son of God because no man has seen the Father.

John 1:18 (KJV) No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

This is the Son of God and he declares the Father.

If we have ears to hear Him in our conscience.

Matthew 11:15 (KJV) He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Proverbs 20:12 (KJV) The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them.

God made us to hear Him in our conscience.

Now it is the voice of the Son of God we are hearing.

Now the Father can also talk to our conscience.

Matthew 16:17 (KJV) And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Now the understanding I have is the Son of God runs the church and is speaking to us by our conscience.

Proverbs 28:9 (KJV) He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

If God gives you truth though your conscience and you turn away your prays will be an abomination to Him.

Why?

Because He is giving truth and it is being ignored.

Ecclesiastes 1:8 (KJV) All things are full of labour; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.

If you ignore the truth too many times when it is given to you by the conscience you will blasphemy the holy spirit and the heart becomes hard.

John 10:27 (KJV) My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

This is talking about God's people hearing His voice in their conscience.

Notice it is the Son of God saying this.

Now the one doctrine in my understanding that destroys all truth is the Trinity doctrine.

The trinity doctrine says that the Holy Spirit is not Jesus it is another being

2 Corinthians 3:17 (KJV) Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

Who's voice?

Jesus the Son of God.

He is the comforter.

So how do we find truth.

We study our bibles and learn to hear the Son of God's voice in our conscience.

And the truth is unlike anything you have been taught by men with the world in their hearts.

In part one I said to consider what I was saying.

2 Timothy 2:7 (KJV) Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.

Now how does the Lord give you understanding?

This is one of the most important things in my opinion that we need to understand.

One thing that I have admitted is my heart is wicked and my understanding is carnal.

Jeremiah 17:9 (KJV) The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Romans 7:14 (KJV) For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

Just because we have been converted does not mean our hearts are not wicked and we are not carnal.

We have just had a conversion experience.

After the conversion experience the Lord will be coming to us with truth a little bit at a time to rid us of the uniquity ( crooked thinking ) that has been taught to us by man.

We have been taught every wind of doctrine by men with the world in their hearts.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 (KJV) He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

Notice it says God set the world in their heart so you can not find the truth.

Notis I said YOU can not find the truth

You can not just pick up this Bible and read it and find the truth

Because you have the world in your heart

So how do we find the truth?

I will explain this in part 3.

What I see in the religious world is every wind of doctrine blowing in the wind.

Ephesians 4:14 (KJV) That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

You have to keep the feast days you do not have to keep the feast days you have to keep the Sabbath you do not have to keep the Sabbath. You have to keep the health laws you can eat anything you want to you can not use the name Jesus you have to use the name yahshua you can use the name Jesus. You have to be literally immersed in water you have to be sprinkled it does not matter you can not smoke ci******es it does not matter if you smoke the milinum will be on the earth the milinum will be in heaven. When you die you go to heaven or hell when you die you rest in the grave the list goes on and on and on

Every wind of doctrine blowing in the wind.

Now a lot of people do not know what they believe and do not care church is a social club to them

They do not study their Bible and are not interested.

If this is you then this study is not for you

This study is for those who are humblely seeking the truth.

All I can do is give you my understanding. If it is not your understanding that is ok. All I ask is that you consider what I say and let the Lord give you understanding.
