Grading out a 13,000 Sq ft building pad/ parking lot area today.
Dug our first home crater of the year today. It's been a minute since we've dug a house the busy season is coming.
More progress on our In-N-Out project.
Pulling up concrete chunks as big as a dump truck today. Several pieces required 2 machines to pull them out of their grave. Huge thanks to our friends over at RJ excavating for jumping in and helping us hog out thousands of tons of material this week so far and more to go. It's amazing what they used to bury and build on years ago.
What did you do on your Sunday? This is what we had the pleasure of doing today. So many utilities spaced just far enough apart you can't get a bucket between them, hand digging for 15 ft. on each trench. Thankyou to everyone that jumped in and helped today.
This will give you a heart attack everytime when your bucket comes out of the ground with one of these.
Breaking ground on our Huntsville town hall project.
When blue stakes say power is there and the city says no its not. Blue stakes said power was running right thru our building footprint. We dug down to find out who is right. Turns out city was right.
Been working on a little bit different kind of retaining wall this week. When this is finished it will be a roping box with a roof over it.
Gotta love when we are not on our jobsite, but somehow our machine gets started and ran a few times during the day. I always take my keys and lock my doors when I leave the jobsite everyday. Noticed machine was not left exactly how I remember leaving it checked JD link and sure enough my suspicions were right. The one machine I have that does not require a code to be entered to start it. (Concrete guys, bring your own equipment to play with, you can't use mine. I'm not that nice.)
The Wiseman built his house upon the rock. But it sure is not fun digging it for him.
It finally stopped snowing long enough for us to finally get some decent amount of work done. Underground storm system going in. The last pictures are from 2 days ago. Yesterday we cut the parking lot down to rough subgrade and hauled off all the mud. Today we dug the hole for the Storm tech system and hauled off all the spoils from that. Imported all the rock for retention system. And for the first time in 4 to 5 months was able to wear something besides Muck boots.
It's Tap day today for Fire line to building and fire hydrant.
Saturday= Emergency Sewer repair. Fiber guys nailed this one. I always wonder how long breaks like this go unnoticed and barely function enough before it finally backs up so far in the house people notice and finally camera the line to find the problem. This one has barely functioned for quite some time.
Hmm. Something does not belong here. Buried ball valve.
Breaking ground on our Airport project. Jax in the Deere cutting down to subgrade. Trimble Earthworks making it easy.
Saw this antique machine today. I can't imagine what it would be like to try and run that..
You gotta get creative sometimes setting precast boxes by yourself.
Concrete guys finished thier retaining walls. So now we are back on our bountiful front yard remodel stacking rocks and moving dirt.
Making progress on our Cheddars project. Pulling out old storm drain, prepping building pad.
Full Rainbows over our jobsite has gotta be a good sign right?
Trucks rolling in and out today. Just a few loads of about 200 loads that we gotta haul out. Trimble Earthworks keeping us on grade as we work across the lot.
Working on what seems like on top of the world today.
Not to often we are tearing down a rock retaining wall. But we are tearing it down to rebuild it and incorporate it into concrete retaining wall and stairs.
Backfilling a Patio home.
From time to time we go out of town to do work on people's Cabins. This is from a job we went way out of town to do this summer. It was a little bit of a drive.
This front yard is about to get a face lift. Homeowners want it all Ripped out and redone.
How would you redo this front yard if it was your house or your Job?
Grading out for sidewalk with the trackhoe.
Knocked this little Patio home out today. Trimble makes it so fast. Then we stake the house out footing guys when we are done. No grade checker standing around. Makes it really nice for a small show like mine. It took longer to mobilize machine than to dig it. 👍 #
