Dawn finished chemo in February. This is her “after” picture. She says “all my cancer chemo nurses were very impressed with how well my hair stayed with cold capping and so was I. “Nothing prepared me for the shock of learning I had stage 4 breast cancer. I had no obvious lumps and no noticeable symptoms that alerted me that something was wrong. January is Cervical Cancer Awareness month. The American Cancer Society estimates over 13,000 new cases of cervical cancer will be diagnosed in the US in 2024. It is the 4th most common cancer in women. Please get your exams and be your own advocate. If something doesn’t seem right, speak up!

This weeks Wednesday Warrior finished chemo mid December and shared this photo from New Years. She estimates she lost around 50% of her hair but “had a lot of hair to start with”. She is thankful she found out about Warrior Caps to limit her hair loss.

This Warrior was the founder of Kids First of the
Carolinas. She stood in front of 14,000 people with hair because she used Warrior Caps to limit her hair loss, to accept this check. I was so excited to receive this picture. She is no longer with us, having finished her fight and joined Jesus in heaven but oh what a memory. If you are in the Carolina’s please think about donating to her charity in her honor.
