“There was definitely some shedding, I’d say about 40-50% but luckily I had a lot of hair to begin with! Cold capping allowed me to keep a sense of normalcy during a very not-normal time.” - Yesenia

I lost my eyelashes FIVE times going through and after chemo. I used Latisse, prescribed by my doctor after chemo to help with regrowth. Did it help? Absolutely. As I have moved further away from "cancer" I have spent a considerable amount of time lessening the chemicals I put in and on my body.

Today, I would try this product from Chemo Hair and Skin. It's a 100% organic botanical treatment, when used twice daily, becomes active in three weeks. Use the link below to look at all the products they have available. Let me know if you purchase something and how you liked it! - Lisa, Founder

The #1 reason we hear people want to use Warrior Caps is to limit the harsh side effects of cancer from their children. So many of our warriors are moms and grandma’s. We honor you today.

So many of our Warriors face infertility after chemotherapy. We see you. You are grieving so many losses at once, it seems incredibly cruel. I know how you feel, I’ve been there, I get it. We see you. - LRF

Insurance coverage for cold cap therapy is constantly evolving. Recently we received an email with the subject line “They PAID” from our Warrior Rachel in Texas. Her policy considered it out of network but still covered half of the rental fees. She advocated for herself which you HAVE TO DO and should do in all aspects of your cancer path.

Dawn is our featured Wednesday Warrior this week and we are excited to share her before and after. Did she lose hair? YES. Everyone loses hair even when using cold cap therapy. Does her hair still look amazing? YES. Because cold caps limit hair loss.

Dawn finished chemo in February. This is her “after” picture. She says “all my cancer chemo nurses were very impressed with how well my hair stayed with cold capping and so was I. I did lose some hair on the sides of my head and it thinnned quite a bit but that’s it. It definitely wasn’t easy but was well worth it.”

Our founder Lisa quoted for National Cancer Survivors Day.

“You will never hear me say I am thankful I got cancer, because I’m not. I am thankful I can use what happened to me to help other people." – and breast cancer survivor Lisa Ferrand (Warrior Caps)

Our former and current Warriors are some of the strongest women I know. They fight cancer while being moms, grandma’s, sisters, aunts and wives. Some work inside the home and some work outside as doctors, lawyers, flight attendants, business owners, teachers, marketing professionals, authors, actresses, athletes and more. They inspire me to keep fighting and keeping pushing every single day. - LRF

Don’t let anyone tell you cold caps don’t work. This Warrior did 16 rounds of chemo, including the “red devil” and finished chemo a few days ago and rang that bell.

She said “I have hair because of you “

When you rent from Warrior Caps, this is who you are renting from, our founder Lisa. Someone who has walked the path and come out the other side. She uses her story to help others not just limit their hair loss but all aspects of the diagnosis.

“Nothing prepared me for the shock of learning I had stage 4 breast cancer. I had no obvious lumps and no noticeable symptoms that alerted me that something was wrong. I heard about Warrior Caps through my oncologist as a possible resource if I wanted to consider cold cap therapy. I looked at other options but none had the information, support, expertise and the high-quality equipment Warrior Caps offers. My daughter decided to give Lisa a call and find out about Warrior Caps and we were very pleased with the immediate support we received from her. She was able to get equipment to me overnight so I would have it in time for my first treatment. Lisa provided ample information and was always only a phone call away if we had questions or concerns. I was also able to get the costs of the rental reimbursed from my tax-free medical contributions through my employer which helped tremendously.

I didn’t realize how much I would appreciate having my hair during cancer treatment. So much is taken from you during this journey physically and emotionally that when you have good days it’s important to be able to feel as much like yourself as possible. I appreciated I was able to have my hair when I stepped out and looked in the mirror despite having gone through some unwanted physical changes from chemo. I’ve learned during cancer treatment it’s important to take care of YOU and do what you can to help YOU stay positive and strong- emotionally and physically and having hair really helps. I can’t recommend Warrior Caps enough.”- Kathy

My prayer today and always is the brilliant minds across the world can make cancer a chronic, treatable disease instead of the disease that takes so many lives every year. - LRF

January is Cervical Cancer Awareness month. The American Cancer Society estimates over 13,000 new cases of cervical cancer will be diagnosed in the US in 2024. It is the 4th most common cancer in women. Please get your exams and be your own advocate. If something doesn’t seem right, speak up!

This weeks Wednesday Warrior finished chemo mid December and shared this photo from New Years. She estimates she lost around 50% of her hair but “had a lot of hair to start with”. She is thankful she found out about Warrior Caps to limit her hair loss.

“I used Warrior Caps for 16 chemo treatments (Taxol, AC and immunotherapy) with help from my wonderful husband. We were able to manage it on our own with the guidance from Warrior Caps and due to my manageable symptoms and keeping my hair, no one knew what I was going through over my 5 month journey without me sharing with them. My doctors were amazed and said it’s the best cold capping results they’ve seen! It also allowed me to recognize myself in the mirror and feel less like a patient. I’m very grateful for the ability to keep my hair and take control of one aspect of this unpredictable and difficult process.” - Katie

Thank you for allowing Warrior Caps to be a small part of your treatment plan in this very private area of your lives. Whether you are a current or former Warrior, a family member, or a friend, we know you have choices in who you use and I thank you for choosing us. We are not perfect, but I continually strive to be better, to find better ways, to improve on what we do. My goal remains the same as it did the day I started in 2016, to bring cold cap therapy to you at a lower price with the best customer service.

This small business has allowed me the gift of time with my own family. The ability to be a room mom, or stay home with a sick child has meant the world to me. Chances are you have heard one or all of them in the background while talking to me about Warrior Caps… thank you for giving me grace in those times.

I wish you health and happiness in 2024.

XO,
Lisa

This Warrior was the founder of Kids First of the
Carolinas. She stood in front of 14,000 people with hair because she used Warrior Caps to limit her hair loss, to accept this check. I was so excited to receive this picture. She is no longer with us, having finished her fight and joined Jesus in heaven but oh what a memory. If you are in the Carolina’s please think about donating to her charity in her honor. They help so many kids.

Thank you to Lisa and to my daughter, Martha Kate
(because I didn't know what cold capping was) and my husband, Tom for being the best and most patient capper ever! 🤗
I am 3 weeks post chemo and would say I have 90% of my hair! Weekly Taxol for 12 weeks... The infusion nurses were super encouraging toward my cold capping! We followed our directions carefully... all the timing and charting, temp readings and hours following infusions!

I could not be happier with my results!
Lisa is responsive and helpful every step of the way! Shout out, too to the very kind people at Emergency Ice in Dallas!
Thank you 🩷..Melinda
Grandmother of 14 and short haired warrior that still has her hair! 🎉🎉🎉

“I am officially done with chemo!! Thank you for saving my hair and being a wonderful resource.”

Because Some Warriors Have Hair

It’s “just” hair

If I could count the number of times I hear that I would be a millionaire. No, it is not just hair. If someone told you, cutting off your arm was a side effect of chemo would you do it? Sure you would, because the chemo would save your life right? I would. What if someone said we have this process that might allow you to save your arm and your life. Would you do it? Of course you would. So why can’t people understand it is so much more than hair. That’s where we come in, because some warriors HAVE HAIR.
