Ralph will be a weighted blanket when you're anxious, a portable heater when you're cold, and a ray of sunshine for the days when you feel like you are surrounded by dark clouds.

What we're saying is this handsome five-month-old kitten is pretty incredible. Ralph is a very sweet boy who loves sitting on laps, snuggling, and being adored. He came to Santa Barbara Humane with a scarred eye, but he isn't letting that fact keep him from living his best life.

Meet Parker, Wyatt, Sawyer, Jackson, Beau, Rey, and Naveen. These cuties are all super eager to find their families! Parker, Wyatt, Sawyer, Jackson, and Beau are all two-month-old German Shepherd mixes who are available for adoption at our Santa Barbara campus, and Rey and Naveen are three-month-old Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull mixes available at our Santa Maria Campus.

Bobbi has a very lovable smile. This darling three-year-old Terrier mix can be a little shy around new people, but with a little love, Bobbi will quickly show you she is a snuggly, sweet, and silly girl. Since Bobbi likes to be the star of the show, she would be happiest as the only dog in the home.

This , we are celebrating a very sweet cat named Elvie!

Teamwork really made a difference for three-year-old cat Elvie who was brought as a stray to one of our partner organizations. She was not using her hind limbs well and the base of her tail was swollen. Friendly Elvie growled in pain when this area was handled. When x-rays revealed pelvic fractures, she was started on pain medications and cage rest, and then transferred to Santa Barbara Humane for the additional support she needed to heal. At the shelter, Elvie continued to improve. After more than a month of rest and daily attention at Santa Barbara Humane, Elvie was adopted! She is thriving with her new family who renamed her “Sassy” to reflect her s***k and resilience.

I'm Willow, and I am a two-year-old Shepherd. I recently moved here from Fresno (I thought I could use a change of scenery), and I am so excited to start this new chapter in my life! I'm a big, silly girl who loves people, but sometimes I don't know my own size and will try to bear hug you (which a lot of people don't like, apparently) and would benefit from some basic manners classes to help with my jumpiness. I'm a high-energy gal who would be a perfect hiking, camping, and/ or running buddy... and of course, we can sneak in a cuddle session or two after. What has three legs, a big heart, and lots of love to give?

The answer is... Theo! This precious four-year-old Chihuahua came to Santa Barbara Humane with a badly injured leg that required amputation. Now that Theo is a tripod, he is truly thriving. This sweet boy is playful, loving, and cuddly. He loves going for walks and making new friends.
