Emily & Trey rounded out our first half of wedding season last weekend, and what a fun one to finish with!

Emily is one of the funniest people I’ve ever met, and I had SO much fun planning with her. She is the type of person that you meet and immediately feel comfortable around.

Trey is cool as a cucumber in a room full of chaos - I suppose you have to be when you’re committing to a family of 3 sisters 😉

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Scotti - we are so happy to have been party of your wedding day!

Some of my favorite moments happen during reception reveals. You spend months planning and preparing for your dream day, and when it finally comes to life, we hope you’re blown away as we are.

I’m hanging up my clipboard and getting out my dancing shoes to be a wedding guest this weekend!

If you didn’t know, I moved to the outskirts of Cincinnati when I was nine years old, and the person we’re off to celebrate was one of my very first friends in the area. How lucky are we to watch the people we’ve grown up with go through such incredible milestones and be able to share those memories with them! 🖤

When Rachel’s dad passed, she acquired his old car that once belonged to her grandfather. She talked about the fond memories of it and remembering the smell when they got it out again.

Over the last 8 months, her mom had secretly been having it worked on so that it would run on their wedding day.

What a special memory to look back on🖤

Catching up on the last couple of weeks, starting with Rose & Ryan’s colorful lakeside wedding!

We traveled to Chautauqua, NY to send our girl down the aisle. If you’ve been around for awhile, you know that Rose has been part of our team for a few years and has seen the good, the bad and the crazy of wedding days. How special that she trusted us to help execute this vision, which we have been dreaming up since the day we met.

These two are the most fun-loving couple you’ll ever meet. They are equally creative and kept me laughing through the entire planning process.

From the coffee walk tour to the merch toss, this is a wedding I will remember forever.

After a fun destination wedding weekend, we are making our way into the busiest month of the year!

We’re headed back to some of our favorite venues + going south to Nashville for a site visit and to Anderson Pavilion for our second quarter event!

Let’s talk about your bar ~

A place where all of your guests hang out, but almost always gets overlooked in a design.

I like personalization - custom ice cubes, real quotes on cocktail napkins, signature drinks with meaning, mocktails (!!!), drink charms, etc.

We talk about the bar in every design meeting, not because we want to encourage drinking, but because we want to encourage you to make this a space that everyone can enjoy🍸

The first signs of spring always feel like wedding season to me.

It’s the same feeling you get when school is letting out, your favorite sport is right around the corner, or a vacation is near. There is always so much anticipation and a sense of excitement that comes with it.

I’m a Maximal Minimalist.

Read that again.

I don’t buy into the concept that “the venue is already pretty enough, so I don’t think we need…”

I’ve never walked into a wedding filled to the brim with florals/candles, full place settings, stunning linens, gorgeous chairs and thought to myself “this room would look better with LESS”

I like fullness.

BUT, I don’t add decor just for the heck of it. For the sake of alleviating an empty space.

Every place card, floral arrangement, votive candle and piece of equipment has a purpose.

We don’t take beauty away from a venue, we elevate what the space already has to offer.

I hope feel how magical it is; to be marrying the love of your life, and I hope it’s better than you could have ever imagined.

Over the last couple of weeks, we have been finalizing stationery design and sending out invitations for our spring couples, while simultaneously getting quotes for our weddings in the fall.

A few details I’ve loved seeing this year:

1. Vintage stamps
2. Envelope liners
3. Attire cards
4. Handwritten addressing (in calligraphy, of course)
5. Ribbons & bows

A&C got married in the most beautiful winter day.

The attention to detail was unmatched. From the hand written notes on cocktail napkins, to the monogram “logo” that could be seen throughout the event and the signature scent that infused the foyer as guests arrived.
