The BOE is splitting the South Boone precinct due to population growth.

It's Talk o' Tuesday!

Alamance County has a new polling place! Starting with the upcoming Municipal Elections, our South Boone precinct will be split into two parts. Some voters who previously voted at Smith Elementary School will now vote at St. Mark's Community Church!

To find out if you live in the new precinct if you are a registered voter, visit the voter search tool at https://vt.ncsbe.gov/RegLkup/ and search yourself. If you are not a registered voter or cannot find yourself, visit the Alamance County GIS interactive map and adjust the layers to voting precincts and voting locations to determine which precinct you fall in visually: https://apps.alamance-nc.com/CountyGISMap/default.aspx.

Today we mourn yesterday's passing of Dr. Dorothy Yarborough, our Board of Elections Chair, after an extended health struggle.

It was an honor for all of us here at the Board of Elections office to work with Dr. Yarborough. She had a passion for facilitating fair elections and making sure as many eligible voters as possible were able to vote that mirrored and complimented her passion for bettering her community.

Her voice of reason and upbeat personality will be greatly missed.
