Honoring Indigenous Peoples Day, we look to what this day means to the Indigenous People of Turtle Island. We recognize it includes those from the artic circle to nearly the equator. We do our part to re-energize the healing found in our Indigenous ways. The pictures are from our last drum-making class and healing kits.
The Safe Place Parking lot has insurance!
However... The two long months it took to find insurance has taken a toll on funding. We are starting over in that and we need your help. The people in the 45 cars that use the lot need your help!
Our goals: Raise $30,000 and re-open Dec. 1, before the cold nights set in.
The lot cost more than $12,000 a month to operate.
You can help by donating at www.wisewomengp.org/give, fundraising on Safe Parking's behalf, help us find grants and funding opportunities, and share, share, SHARE! this post.
We are so thankful for the Community Support of Safe Parking, from the Oneida Nation's donation of the lot, the groups and organizations that provide hot meals each night, the donations from so, so many community members! It all helps keep the cost of the program down. It truly takes all of us to make this work. Thank you, a thousand times over, Thank You!!
