Do you need general anesthesia for breast implant surgery?

The answer; NO! Breast implants only require IV sedation and local anesthesia. This has the benefit of a faster recovery, lower cost of the procedure, and less of the risks associated with general anesthesia.

This patient had saline implants for about 10 years and was ready to replace them with silicone implants! As you can see even with saline implants they have a silicone shell.
