Saher Jafri Arts
As an artist and designer, I bring South Asian and Middle Eastern artistic traditions into Western street-wear and art, using the concept of henna.
Happy Tuesday! Reminder: If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you 🌈

One in a million 🤍
Introducing the Saher Shoes, a pair of customs I designed last month! I start each shoe customization with a digital mock-up that I’ll be posting next.
This helps me visualize the designs and style I want to create, but I also go off book and change the design in real time. Swipe for a black and white shot 🌤
Throw back to the first of three artworks from my fundraiser collection for in 2020, where I sent 50% of proceeds to help fight Covid-19 in underpoverished areas around the world.
Stay turned for September, when I’m planning a new art fundraiser to raise money for essential items for Afghan refugees arriving in the DMV 🙏🏼
My OG Galaxy Lips sweatshirt found its way to ’s beautiful room! This picture is perfect down to the matching henna - thank you for capturing this 🙏🏼
Heartbreaking and we have no words.

“He was a family guy, very much involved in the community, a regular member of our mosque, a really, really great father," the neighbor, who was not identified, said. "He loved to walk with his family. Almost every evening, they walked." ♥️🙏🏾
Islamophobia has no place in any of our communities and we will continue to do what we can to stand in solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters. As we grieve the loss of this family, we urge you to donate (if you can) to the campaign, which has been set up with consent from the family, to help the 9-year-old boy, who has survived and is recovering in the hospital.”

Shooting these beauties in the warm sun on my deck, framed against a forest of sunlit green trees, it hit me that spring is HERE here and summer’s on the way 🌿🌺
Introducing the Rebekah Shoes, made for the lovely and driven 🤍
Attention to detail is key 🌼 — I loved creating this custom pair for two lovely sisters who have supported me through Instagram. Truly blessed to virtually meet people from all over the country through my art.
Creativity takes courage. Designing shoes can be very scary at times — a blank canvas, rippled with rough edges and threads that you know you’ll have a tough time drawing on. Prepping the shoes with leather deglazer and tape is when I start pondering the project the most. The markers run out over the hours, and fatigue sets in.
But at the end of each pair’s journey, I find myself feeling so fulfilled and proud of the work of art I’ve created. Many may not notice those details as you walk in the street. But that’s what I love about my doodles. The beauty is in the details, and you have to peer closer and take a moment to stand still and take it in. It forces you to stop and pause, and explore.
