Our President Robert J. Rodriguez and the DASNY team visited the Mount Kisco Child Care Center (MKCC), a dedicated nonprofit that provides high-quality child care and early education to support working families. MKCC was recently awarded a grant through the state’s Nonprofit Infrastructure Capital Investment Program (NICIP), which is administered by DASNY.
Over the past few years, MKCC has undertaken significant renovations, including the recent replacement of 9,000 sq ft of roofing in December 2023. This crucial upgrade was made possible by the NICIP grant, ensuring the facility remains a safe and welcoming place for the children and families they support.
DASNY is proud to administer grants on behalf of New York State to help strengthen organizations like MKCC, enhance the everyday lives of New Yorkers, and support Governor Kathy Hochul's priority of investing in child care.

Last week, our DASNY teams gathered for an insightful lunch and learn hosted by the Office of Environmental Affairs (OEA).
Matthew A. Stanley, Senior Environmental Manager, gave a presentation about the remains of quarantined immigrants discovered on the historic Staten Island Supreme Courthouse project site. The courthouse and parking garage were built on the site of a quarantine hospital used from 1799 to 1858. Prior to construction, archaeological testing undertaken by DASNY's OEA Team defined a “safe zone,” free of any burials, in the central portion of the site which is where the courthouse stands today.
The historic burial ground, located at the northern end of the project site, was not built upon and instead a memorial was built in honor of the immigrants who came to America in search of a brighter future.
This project is a great example of the type of work that our DASNY Office of Environmental Affairs manages for each and every DASNY financing and construction project. A special thank you to our OEA team.
