Very proud to announce that Obaggo is finally at market after a long journey! Thanks to all who helped us get here!
To Obaggo Customers,
Just a quick update on the status of your Obaggo. For the last 6 weeks we have been very busy building the various levels of sub-assemblies, and we are nearing the finish line. All that is left is the final assembly and quality control testing, and of course, getting the units shipped to you!
Production has been proceeding smoothly. Performing 500+ of each assembly operation has been harder and more tedious that previously imagined, but a great experience. We have gotten to know the product intimately, and have been able to appreciate the elegance of many of the good design features, and also take note of those areas where we can improve in future versions.
It's going to be a little tight, but I believe we are still on-track to complete final assembly and test, and ship most of the units within the next 3 weeks, give or take a week.
The most important thing you can do right now, if your shipping address has changed since you placed the order, is sign back into Indiegogo, and update your shipping address. If you are unsure how to do this, go to the Indiegogo Help Center at the link below and it will provide instructions.
How do I update my shipping address? – Indiegogo Help Center
If you are still unsure, please contact me directly and I will work with you to get it updated.
I am looking forward to you receiving your Obaggo and getting your feedback on how it works.
I'll send out another update when we begin shipping.
Thanks again for your patience and support.
Best regards,
Dave New

This 30 minute ABC News special report is worth watching. It's an expose on the retail store take-back system for plastic bags. A bit depressing, but it does end in making the point that we need to capture more plastic bags and packing film in the curbside system.

Help us end plastic waste! www.obaggo.com
Plastic bags and packaging film are both the fastest-growing type of packaging material and also the most difficult to recycle. This is partly because they’re hardly accepted for recycling anywhere, and partly because the recycling labels are confusing or non-existent.
Obaggo is here to solve both problems. We help you transform your bags and film into recyclable disks, AND we help you figure out what is and is not good to recycle.

A major reason plastic bags and films end up in our oceans is because we don’t have sufficient ways to recycle them. Obaggo is working on that.

Everyone’s approach to sustainable living is different, but we all have to deal with the same problem: single-use plastics.
Every effort you make towards reducing single-use plastics is a great step in the right direction. Whether you bring reusable bags to the grocery store, or have invested in a reusable straw, our planet thanks you!
At the grocery store, choose foods that come in larger single packages rather than individually wrapped ones, and try to avoid produce wrapped or bagged in plastic.
To deal with the plastic bags and packaging film you can’t avoid, check out Obaggo. We’re working to revolutionize the recycling of this valuable material. www.obaggo.com
