Nunc Licet.... from "True Christian Religion" Emanuel Swedenborg. The Latin meaning of Nunc Licet, "it is Now Permitted to Enter the Understanding into the mysteries of faith," continues to bring meaning, and as the golden lights were shown to me many moons ago, the deeper mysteries of faith deepen. The "word" has so many different meanings, translations, and understandings as soon as we speak it. So many take the words we speak and make them their own, instead of listening to the word and being curious about it. Opening to my brothers and sisters deepens my understanding of love..of understanding... and gives me a way of life that brings new truths. May we listen attentively when the "other" speaks and find new meanings. I am so grateful for the times God shared deep wisdom about his love with me and others, sharing their own light and truth of what love is for them. When we hear despair in another, even when it comes at us, we must see the wounds of eternity, the opening of compassion, care, and softening. If we can soften around another pain, we can be blessed to hear the true meanings of love. Hugs to all this day!
