WKU President Timothy C. Caboni
OFFICIAL Dr. Timothy C. Caboni, 10th President, Western Kentucky University Timothy C. Caboni will become WKU’s 10th president on July 1, 2017.
President-elect Caboni, who earned a master’s degree in corporate and organizational communication from WKU in 1994, returned to the Hill after six years as vice chancellor of Public Affairs at the University of Kansas. He also served as the associate dean of the Peabody College of Education & Human Development at Vanderbilt University. He holds a doctorate in higher education and policy from Vanderbilt and a bachelor’s degree in speech communication and rhetoric from Louisiana State University.

Exciting morning breaking ground on the new Hilltopper Fieldhouse and celebrating the start of construction of a much-needed new press box for Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium.
The state-of-the-art Fieldhouse will serve as the home to the WKU Forensics and E-Sports programs and provide practice and training space for the Big Red Marching Band and Hilltopper Athletics.

It is with a heavy heart that I share that our Provost Emeritus, Cheryl Stevens, passed away this morning after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Dr. Stevens first came to WKU in 2012 to serve as the Dean of the Ogden College of Science and Engineering. She faithfully served WKU as our chief academic officer from 2019 until her retirement from higher education in 2021.
On behalf of the entire WKU family, I extend my deepest and most sincere condolences to her family and loved ones.
