Went to Zanesville yesterday and saw the battle between the Lorena Sternwheeler and the soldiers on the bank.

Persimmon Hill Forge will be at Red Oak this weekend.

We had a great time at Henderson Hall this past weekend. Wonderful old home and grounds. Great revival of a reenactment that hasn’t happened for several years. Logan Saho and all the volunteers put on a great event. I recommend everyone put it on your schedule for next year.
Big shout out to everyone that stopped in our tent and shopped or just talked. We had a lot of great folks stop in. Sarah and I are truly blessed to have met up with old friends and made new ones.

Persimmon Hill Forge will be at Henderson Hall in Williamstown WV in 2 weeks.

Spent last weekend at Morgan’s raid civil war reenactment at Dogwood Pass in Beaver Ohio. What a great place. Got to see a lot of old friends and made several new friends.
Frog and Charlene made us feel at home, very hospitable. We are looking forward to going back over Labor Day weekend for the next reenactment.

If you haven’t been to dogwood pass this would be a great weekend to go. Old west show in town at noon and battle in the field at 2.

Let’s remember the sacrifices our ancestors made fighting for their homeland. They gave all they had.

Unfortunately persimmon hill forge will not be at the battle of Sacramento this year.

Just got word we have been accepted as a sutler at the battle of cedar creek this fall. We are excited due to the fact that the reenactment is on the actual battle field which is on the grounds of Bellgrove plantation that was owned by Sarah’s ancestors. Sarah is a decendant of Yost Hite.

We will be set up This weekend at The Battle of Richmond. They say it’s the hottest reenactment in Kentucky.

We will be set up at Wolf Creek Gristmill August 5-6 near Loudonville Ohio. First time there for us but looks like a beautiful spot.

I would like to thank everyone who came through our Sutlery this past weekend at the 160th Gettysburg. We had the best event ever. We made a lot of new friends, some from around the world ( Germany, Ireland, England and several states here at home).
Our motto is to be friendly and treat everyone as you would like to be treated. I know this works because we had so many come back to our tent multiple times every day.
