Holistic SKIN CARE MIXOLOGIST at work!!🤓
I just crafted the essential oil bases to go into 400 bottles of my 2 organic facial oil blends that I make for my friend, Karl Burgart, owner of Healthy Harvest in Golden, CO. He is the purveyor of the BEST organic Greek & Tuscan olive oils, luscious olives, balsamic vinegars, and my facial oils.
These facial oils - that I formulated in 2015 - are made using fine, organic, high polyphenol count (antioxidants galore), Tuscan olive oil - never heated or filtered. I then add superior quality, organic essential oils resulting in 2 blends that tighten, clarify, deeply condition, and basically help preserve the youthfulness of your skin.
Formula Ingredients:
- ANTI-AGING (for normal/dry skin): Tuscan olive oil, essential oils of frankincense, Somalia, CO2, French lavender, Australian sandalwood.
- OVERNIGHT REPAIR (oily/normal/irritated/scarred): Tuscan olive oil, essential oils of French lavender, myrrh, palmarosa, geranium.
Your skin deserves great care🫒🫒

ROSEMARY (Rosmarinus officinalis)...one of my most beloved aromatic herbs. I use some form of it daily - in tea, as a hair rinse, as a culinary seasoning, or as an infused oil or essential oil in topical remedies.
The strongly aromatic leaves are highly valued for their antiseptic properties. In times past, they were burned as a fumigant during epidemics to protect against plague and infectious illness.
Rosemary essential oil is a classic ingredient in shampoo & conditioning formulations to enhance hair growth & shine, control dandruff & balance an oily scalp as it tones, tightens, & astringes skin tissue.
It's warming, analgesic action makes it helpful in the treatment of cold hands/feet, arthritis, rheumatism, and gout, especially in cases where symptoms are worse during cold weather.
Stiff, sore, inflamed muscles, sprains, & strains respond quickly to rosemary

In my foot reflexology & massage practice in Marble Falls, TX, I often see clients with edema of the lower legs and feet. Rosemary is one of the primary herbal infused & essential oils I use to aid in lymphatic drainage, as it is of much benefit to relieve conditions of swelling, fatigue, achiness, and heaviness.
A powerful mental & respiratory stimulant, diffusing the essential oil helps relieve tension headaches, sinus congestion & fatigue, promoting clarity of thought and focus, and an uplifted mood.
Rosemary Infused Oil Recipe:
Its easy to make, smells sharp & fresh, feels good on the skin. Apply it anywhere on your body. NOT for use on young children, by pregnant women, or on pets.
- 1 quart canning jar
- Approx 10-12, thick, fresh rosemary stems - enough to fill jar
- 3-4 cups quality, organic olive oil
- 1,000 IU vitamin E oil per cup finished product
- 12 drops rosemary essential oil per cup finished product.
To make: Dry your rosemary 7 days, then place in jar. Add olive oil to within 1/2" of top. Screw on lid. Put in a dark bag and set in warm sun for 4-6 weeks. Strain, bottle, add vitamin E and essential oil as directed. Label and store in dark cabinet for 1 year or fridge for 2 years. Good stuff🌿

As an HERBALIST & MASSAGE THERAPIST in Marble Falls, TX, one of my favorite herbal oils to use on my clients is my handcrafted, organic, olive oil-infusion of dried comfrey leaf & root.
Comfrey (Symphytum officinale) - is an approx. 3'- tall, bushy perennial with large, deep green fuzzy leaves & small, purple flowers. It's related to borage. Both the leaves & roots have soothing, comforting, mildly astringent & antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, & vulnerary (tissue healing) properties w/ a cooling energy.

Comfrey contains "allantoin" - a chemical constituent that helps dramatically regenerate damaged skin tissue, along with other chemicals that reduce inflammation. Perfect for easing discomfort of bruises, achy muscles, osteoarthritis, & hemorrhoids, plus is recommended for scars less than 2 years old, stretch marks, and rashy skin. My hands benefit from using this oil daily, so it's a win-win for me and my clients🌿
Also known as "knit bone" because the blanched leaves were used as a medicinal poultice to speed the healing of broken bones!
It grows best in environments that get regular rain and aren't too hot. Here in Texas, it can really struggle if not given shade and ample water.
The fresh leaves and roots are rather moisture-laden, so I prefer working with dried plant material, which I often purchase from an herb shop.
To Make A Solar-Infused Oil:
Add 1 cup of dried comfrey leaves or 3/4 leaves and 1/4 dried root to a quart-size canning jar. Add quality, organic olive oil to within 1" of top of jar. Place a bit of plastic wrap over top. Screw on lid. Shake well. Herbs will absorb oil, so add more if necessary.
Put jar in a dark bag and set atop a stone slab or stone patio or concrete walkway in full, hot sun. Leave outside 24/7. I make my oil infusions in summer (tho you can make them using a crock pot or double boiler - but that's another post).
Shake jar daily. Do this for 4 weeks to produce a powerful medicinal oil.
Strain, bottle, label, date, and refrigerate for up to 1 year.
Best stuff ever! Great addition to your natural medicine cabinet💚

What does HEALTH mean to you? We live in a "pill for an ill" society...often wanting quick relief from sickness, discomfort, weight gain, etc. Yes, there is a time and place for western medical intervention, but long-term TRUE HEALTH is gained & maintained by what we do daily. Think about that🙏❤️
