Unpopular opinion…We love styled shoots! There was a point in time when I briefly thought that I was “too experienced” or “too busy” to participate in styled shoots. But being selective about who you work with and being intentional about the design can make a huge difference on your perspective of styled shoots.
While yes, they usually take months of planning and money out of pocket, it’s an opportunity to lean into trends and make them your own OR try new things beforeee using your couples as guinea pigs 😉

Delicate and understated details are some of my favorites! You don’t have to have a flashy display or bright colors to give your guests a one of a kind experience. Rachel and Sean chose a monochromatic design with pops of peachy blush and allll the butterfly details! Their wedding was pure elegance and represented them perfectly. Bonus points for the custom beer taps for the groom 😉

It’s wedding week for Helin + Mark and the last wedding of the year for us! We’re so grateful for all our couples this year - taking on fewer weddings allowed us to really dig in deeper with our clients and create high level designs that were so proud of (lots of photos to come)!

Now that this season is just about complete, it’s time to fill our calendars with awesome couples for 2024 and do some final preparations for !

LET’S TALK PRINT METHODS | Breaking it down from highest to lowest investment, here’s our favorite and most used print methods! When designing, I like to use a combination of 1-2 different methods to add texture and elevate the design.

1 Emboss - not to be confused with a deboss, or letterpress print. Embossed details are pressed from the back of the paper and are have a raised effect - the most luxe option and my personal favorite!

2 Foil Press - literally that. Metallic or matte foil is pressed into the paper. Heat and pressure are applied to get the foil to stick. I typically recommend this method on larger text - it doesn’t do well with lots of detail. Since opaque white ink doesn’t exist in the letterpress realm, I use white foil on darker stock a lot!

3 Letterpress - the opposite of emboss and the oldest form of printing! Pressure and ink (and sometimes lack thereof) are used to print text, creating luxurious texture. We use this print type the most!

4 Digital - also called flat printing, digital printing is done from a laser or inkjet machine (on a larger scale than your typical home office printer). We use this method the most, for all accompanying prints like RSVP cards and Details cards, envelopes, menus, etc. It is the most versatile and cost effective!

Our discovery calls are a good opportunity for us to get to know you and your partner, but also for you to get to know us and what working with us will look like!

We talk all things details! What you like, don’t like, your style, the vibe of the wedding, and more! We go over what kind of stationery is most important to you and how we can make sure all the elements are functional and beautiful. You are free to ask us questions as well!

Our ideal clients generally know what they want, but need that designer touch to bring all the elements together, along side your wedding planner (who we feel is an integral part of the stationery design process). They want something outside the norm and trust us to make the vision come true. Talking through as many details as possible during the discovery call allows us to build that trust, share knowledge and create a proposal that’s the perfect fit for your needs.

SHOULD I GO CUSTOM? | The invitation is the very first thing that will show your guests what to expect at your wedding. And we’re here to help you decide if custom or semi custom is the best route for YOU.

Custom invitations a great option for our clients who have a very specific design look that deserves a little more than the “norm.” They want a true show stopper, unlike anything they’ve seen before. Our custom clients value our creative capabilities and allow us to take the lead on making that specific vision come to life!

Our clients who opt for our semi custom invitation suites have a slightly smaller budget, but still want a high quality experience. These are not rigid, templated designs so the final product is unique!

We love a good 🪷
I loved designing this invitation suite for Jennifer + Jason’s vow renewal! Since they were married almost 18 years ago, it was important that the design represented their past, present and future together… to show that they “still do” after all this time - with a strong outer boxed envelope, delicate and soft textures, and joyful wording, I think we achieved that goal! 🤍
