Our Story
First opened as a private psychiatric hospital in 1982, we are situated on a small, urban campus in Brookline, MA. With 62 inpatient beds, our staff provides comprehensive and compassionate behavioral health services for adults on four distinct inpatient units designed to meet the unique and evolving needs of our community. In addition to general inpatient psychiatric services, Arbour-HRI offers addiction treatment and a specialty women’s trauma and recovery programs. We also offer a strong continuum of care including partial hospitalization programs (PHP) and specialty PHPs that focus on women’s and LGBTQ issues.
Our ongoing mission is to offer our patients hope, healing and recovery in a safe, nurturing environment that promotes adoption of long-term healthy behaviors and coping strategies that improve quality of life. We deliver care through a multi-disciplinary, compassionate team of dedicated psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, social workers and clinical support staff. Our coordinated teams utilize evidence-based, individualized treatment for patients experiencing highly traumatic and challenging circumstances.
