Thanks so much to the volunteers, staff, board of directors and Dr. Robinson for the wonderful surprise luncheon on Thurs. to celebrate my retirement. I really appreciate each of you taking the time to do that, all the hugs, cards and gifts. This is a wonderful ministry in which to be a part, and who knows, after some time off, I may be back as a client advocate.......... God bless and keep each of you.

A bitter/sweet day.... This is my last day at the PRC. I have been so blessed to be a part of this ministry, and I am not ruling out being a volunteer at some point in the future, but I am ready for a rest. They have hired Lauren Neuner for my position and I know she will do a great job. Mary wants me to continue the posts for PRC so you will still be hearing from me. Thanks for the people who have responded to the post about the Silver Ring Thing. We still need several more volunteers. Consider spending a few hours to help change the life of many teens.

A huge THANKS to Shannon at the Puddles Children's Resale store on Hwy 5 N just past the Lutheran Church. She donated loads of baby clothes to the center. They are in like new condition and will be greatly appreciated by our moms and moms to be.
It is a neat store, check it out sometime.

We are bringing The Silver Ring Thing back to Mtn. Home on October 7th. It was a great success two years ago with many teens accepting Christ and committing to sexual abstinence before marriage. To do this, we need your help! We need about 35 women to take care of registration, selling rings, counseling and 5 men for security. Also we need homes for 2 nights for the cast. If you can help in any way, please call Mary Collins at 424-4673. You will be glad you did! You will make a difference.
Please like share this post with your friends and help us get the word out!

Our Tee Off for the Golf Marathon will be this Thursday evening from 4:30 - 6:00 at the PRC at 312 E. Third. It is a drop in to get information on the marathon, have refreshments and pick up a packet. The marathon will be Monday, September 14th.

We are continuing to look for volunteers to work with our first time moms who do our Earn While You Learn program. It is usually 4 hours a week on the same day each week or we have one who works every other week, Hours are flexible and it is soooo rewarding to know you are making a difference.

Also we are looking for someone to clean the center once a month. This is a paid position and usually takes about 4 hours. It has been done on Mondays in the past. The lady who was doing it moved out of town. Please call 424-4673 is you would like to help in either of these areas.

OOPS! So sorry for the error. It is Jean's Good as New, and these donations certainly live up to that.

24/06/2015

A big thank you to Jean's New To You thrift store for the donation of the large bag of baby clothes. They were all so nice and clean and we really appreciate your gift. It is donors like you who make it possible to keep a good selection on hand from which our girls can choose. God bless you.

Some exciting things are happening in the next few months. The first will be our Golf Tee Off Reception at the center on July 23 from 4:30 to 6:00. If you are interested in playing 100 holes of golf on September 14th come by and pick up a packet and enjoy some snacks.

The next event will be the Silver Ring Thing for area teens on October 7th. We will need 25 adult volunteers to assist with the event that evening and some housing for the production crew. please call the center at 424-4673 for more information.

Please share this message with your friends and help us get the word out. Thanks and God bless you.

One of our most frequently asked questions, is "How can I help?". Well today, I have some suggestions. The first is volunteer at the center for 4 hours once a week as a client advocate. We provide all the training you will need and it is so rewarding. A current material need right now is for new or gently used baby clothes from 3 to 12 months for both boys and girls. Another need is for a high chair or two. If you are able to answer any of these needs, it would be greatly appreciated.

Another Opportunity at the Pregnancy Resource Center! We are beginning to develop a program for the young men who come in with our clients. We will have a part time paid position for a man to head up this ministry. For more information please call 870-424-4673 and ask to speak with Mary Collins. It is such a blessing to watch this ministry branch out and grow and to see what God is going to do next!

The Pregnancy Resource Center is looking for a Christian RN for a part time position. Please call the center at 424-4673 if you are interested and talk with our director, Mary Collins. This is a great opportunity to participate in this wonderful ministry. It is with very mixed emotions that I post this because this is my position. I have loved doing it, but as I get older, I would like to have more time to spend with family while I am still able, so I am planning to retire in September.

All I can say is WOW! The banquet last night was amazing! Our speaker Gail McWilliams was excellent. We laughed til we cried and heard her beautiful testimony which touched everyone's heart. The food was great and the service was terrific. Thanks, Ron from Colton's and the group of young people who served so many people in a timely and courteous manner. Thanks to all who worked to make it happen and all those who came out to support the PRC. Great job, Mary Collins.

Tonight is the night for the PRC fundraising banquet. I was privileged to meet our speaker yesterday and she is a precious lady. I have read her book and her story is phenomenal! For all of you who have reservations, we will begin seating at 6:15. Thanks to Jacquelyn, SuSan an Charlotte for taking care of the decorations. I know it will be beautiful.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our legislators and Governor Asa Hutchinson for the laws and resolutions that have made Arkansas number one in passing legislation to support the unborn babies. God bless each one of you who had a part in this effort and prayers for continues success.

Happy Easter from the staff and volunteers at the Pregnancy Resource Center. Let's take time out of our busy weekend to give thanks for Jesus and what he has done and continues to do for us. God bless you

It is an exciting time of the year at the PRC. We are gearing up for our annual fundraising banquet. We have an excellent speaker this year and dinner will be catered by Colton's. The admission is free but due to limited space it is by reservation only. It will be on Monday, May 4th at 6:30 PM at St. Peter's Catholic Church. If you would like to attend please call 424-4673 for a reservation.

To any of you who haven't already done this, we would appreciate it if you would like and share our site with your friends and ask them to do the same. This will help us get our news to a larger number of people. There are still people in the area that don't know we are here to help young ladies make good decisions about pregnancy, abstinence, and parenting. We do free pregnancy tests and also free limited ultrasounds in the first trimester and have an earn while you learn program to help first time moms learn the ropes of parenting. Thanks for your help.

Prayer request for the PRC: We are starting some new ministries at the PRC and satan doesn't like it. We feel like he is attacking and we ask you to pray with us for God to bind satan and enable our new programs to go forward. We have lost a few advocates due to health issues. Please pray for healing for them and also for new volunteers to rise up to fill the vacancies.
Thank you and God bless you.

I have been asked by Mary Collins, our director, to administer our Facebook site. Just to be sure everyone knows, when school is closed in Mtn. Home, we are too.

One of our biggest needs right now is for volunteer advocates. If you would like to volunteer 4 hours, one day a week to help the young ladies prepare to be a mother give us a call at 424-4673.

We are also in need of gently used or new baby boy clothes size 0-6 months.

God Bless you and keep you safe on this hopefully, this winter's last blast.
