Although the Eucharist appears to be simple bread and wine, it is actually the "source and summit" of the Christian Life. It is the crescendo of the entire story of salvation.

Theme: OPEN YOUR HEARTS TO THE LORD
Session 1
Monday Evening
Love Scripts: How to read God’s Handwriting
We begin our spiritual journey when we recognize that God not only loves us, but is in love with us. We need to develop the capacity to recognize God’s handwriting as He sends us His love-notes every day.
Session 2
Tuesday Evening
Prayer: Getting in touch with the God within
Heeding the command of the Lord to pray always, we seek to give expression to the groans and longings of our hearts. Prayer is basically our response to the God who has taken the initiative to love us unconditionally.
Session 3
Wednesday Evening
Rejoicing: Happiness and Fulfillment in life
No matter what we do, we are all seeking happiness. And yet, happiness seems to be so elusive. In this talk, Fr Britto outlines a simple approach to living our lives to the fullest. Drawing insights from positive psychology, spiritual life and common wisdom, he attempts to provide concrete steps to live more fully our everyday lives.
Short Bio - Fr Britto M Berchmans
Born in India, Fr. Britto Berchmans has served the Church in various capacities in India, Italy, and the US, and is now a Chicago archdiocesan priest. He speaks extensively to groups on spirituality, relationships, and personal growth, and conducts retreats and parish missions. He holds multiple Master’s degrees in physics, journalism, and theology, and a Doctorate in mass communications. He has produced a six-part set of CDs entitled, Enrich your Marriage. He recently retired as the pastor of St Paul of the Cross Parish in Park Ridge, a parish that ministers to almost 5,000 registered families. Fr Britto laces humor into all his presentations, and recently he has been doing a comedy routine known as “Holy Smokes!” for audiences around Chicago. Fr Britto hosts on Catholic Radio a monthly talk show entitled “Built on the Rock” which focuses on Christ-centered marriages and relationships. As he is retired from active priestly ministry, Fr Britto continues to help with Masses and other sacraments in various parishes and also to present parish missions, talks and retreats.
Please accept my apologies. I will be unable to livestream tomorrow's mass (Sunday, February 18). I am participating in the Girls TEC this weekend. ☺️

Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time - February 4, 2024
Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time - January 28, 2024
3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time - January 21, 2024
Unfortunately, it does not look like I'm going anywhere for a while. I believe Sacred Heart in Moline and Our Lady of Guadeloupe in Silvis both livestream their masses. Stay safe everyone!! And enjoy God's majesty on this beautiful, cold morning!
It is possible that I will not be able to livestream mass tomorrow morning. I am currently snowed in. If the plows are able to clear my road by mass time tomorrow, I will definitely make every effort to be there. But, as of right now, the road I live on is impassable. Praying that everyone is safe and warm!!
