*NEW* If you would like a new place for your horse to practice and see new sights, we are available.
Great for:
-improving your time (digital eye available)
-exposing cattle to your horses
-ideal for young horses.

This is all at your own space and level. Your time with your horse/s whenever you would like without the pressure of being someplace at a certain time.
Weeknights only. Weekend requests optional for those that have been to our grounds already.
All new ground, arena and pens.
Just PM or text when on way!

⚠️PrePay or at least half down (non refundable if you don't show up) at time of PreReg.

We do this as we have limited spots, pens, and electrical hookups. We don't want to take away spots to contestants that they know they WILL show up to contestants that say they will, and no show, and then we have open spots.

We took some time to do major improvements and gonna get back on track! We have our irons in a lot of fires this summer and needed a couple months to get some irons out to cool off!

I haven't been posting too much on here because, well, we've just been focusing on what needs to get done!

No service a lot of times when we take our horses out, but we met civilization for a moment so a little update on "behind the reins"!

Where did we end up this weekend?!

On my latest travels of "Behind the Reins" I traveled to Mora, Missouri! I met a couple of my friends from WI down there for a little horse vacay!
The drive was an easy drive. Took 9 hours one way. Kansas City is a little tough to navigate through. I'd say Minneapolis was easier then Kansas City.
Thee all girl retreat was called "Chicks in the Sticks" and had trail riding, obstacle course, massages, horse hair jewelry making, cooling off in the pretty creek with an all inclusive stay!
Check their page out Von Holten Ranch ! Beautiful beautiful place!!! Easy riding. When I was there June 17-20th it was very muggy, but doable. (I'm used to dry heat! And once sun goes down, it cools off.) They are close to a bigger town so we weren't off grid too much. Other than I carry ATT and I had no service. But they have WIFi!
The host Brandy is quite the person to carry a conversation!!! Look her and her husband up for a spot to stay with your equine friends! 🥰

For father's day the family and I went to ride in Yankton, SD at the Lewis and Clark Rec and Gavins Point campsites!
It's a smaller camp with not as long trails, but great to work horses as the trails are hilly with some steep slopes. Our 8yr old son loved it! It rained and made the trails slippery but our horses handled it with ease! We really like to eat at the Marina that's very close by and bike the bike trails! Lots to see and do if your looking for a little mini vacay!

Highly recommend going to these events!

I took my boys Tango and Cash to Medora, ND!
If your looking for a great place to stay with your horses, I highly recommend staying at Kings Guest Ranch on the outskirts of Medora.
Also, if you are looking for an all girl retreat, exploring between you and your horse with more of a connection, I would direct you to Beyond the Horse!
It was a fantastic retreat held privately for us girls and our amazing horses!

We have been traveling many miles each week off on adventures!
This monday I am off to Medora, ND to ride in the Badlands!

Wish us all safe travels! 6hr road trip to point B.

My boys Cash, Tango and Sam are hoping to find some Elk sheds!

Thanks to Peer Built and his new light duty travel panels I can handle these with ease by myself and set up a pen anywhere!

Peer Built Peerbuilt LLC. Farm and Ranch supply will be one of our Hosts! The Peer Built shop is on the same road as our arena. Bring your trailer and load up on some show pricing supplies! He has about anything you need for fencing. American Wire Winders, American Post Drivers, bunk sweeps, barbed wire rolls and so much more!

Vendors: Day of event at the entrance gate checking in, you all receive a little gift bag with items you need. Here is a hint of the goodies in your bag!

The Tumbleweed is parked right next to the gate. It's our "host booth". Helps direct flow, answer questions, phone charging station and our "office".

If any questions or concerns please come to the Tumbleweed right away!
