We will be having an open house Sunday April 14th from 11 am - 3 pm for anyone who would like to join our team. Applications will be available. If you would like to just stop by and see what we are about and look around that is fine as well. Stop in and check out our new Engine and Utility. We will also be there to answer any questions that you have.

NYS's Ban on Residential Brush Burning will be in effect beginning March 16th and remain in effect through May 14th. Have questions regarding the state's Open Burning law? Check here first: https://dec.ny.gov/environmental-protection/air-quality/open-burning

DESIGNATED FIRE TOWNS
The towns of Dresden, Fort Ann and Putnam are designated "Fire Towns" under the Environmental Conservation Law and require permits to be issued from DEC.

Our partners at the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation regularly update the NYS Fire Danger maps - interested in the current Fire Danger status or looking to burn (safely and legally), check the map here (will be updated regularly as the fire weather season progresses): bit.ly/nysfiredangermaps

Our Fire Coordinator, Glenn Bristol, urges everyone in our communities to please be fire safe, inside and out!
