The Kids of The St. Casimir Choir

Julianna Kaplinski is a fourth grade student in Ardsley School District. She joined the St. Casimir’s Children’s Choir 4 years ago and has loved singing ever since. She enjoys singing in two languages, English and Polish. In addition to her vocal talents she also is improving hers skills in the play of three musical instruments: piano, violin and guitar. In addition to her part of the Children’s Choir she also takes part in Ardsley School Orchestra and school chorus, as well as participates in music recitals several times a year through her private music program. Julianna loves being active and loves swimming, volleyball and gymnastics. Her aspiration is to compete in swimming and volleyball starting next year. She supports STEM events in Westchester as a junior scientist and is an active Girl Scout Junior within Scouts of the Hudson, where she volunteers often throughout the year. Her mission is to help others-particularly those who need the support the most.

Aleksandra (Ola) Kaplinski is the youngest choir member in Children’s Choir in St. Casimir. She loves singing and with no fear being at the front row. Ola just started kindergarten and enjoys being a student. She loves all activities offered in school, particularity reading and math. She is a Girl Scout Daisy as part of the scout of the Hudson. Outside of her learning she enjoys dancing and swimming as well as helping out in the kitchen, although she is a picky eater. Her favorite play time activity is fashion-loves clothes and shoes. The more the better.

Lily Ann McCarthy is a third grade student in St. Anthony School in Yonkers. Lily enjoys learning other languages. She speaks English as well as Polish, and love learning Spanish. On Saturdays she attends Saturday Polish School im. M. Konopnickiej located in St. Casimir Church. Lily joined St. Casimir Children’s Choir two years ago. She has been very active. She took swimming classes at Mark Twain Pool Sports & Recreation Center in Yonkers, she was a member of Seido Karate Academy last year but this year she decided that she wants to support her schoolmates and join a basketball team from St. Anthony School – Girls League. Her passion are travels. Every summer she visit Poland with her Grandparents, She traveled to France, Spain, and Portugal. She is a big believes that ‘sky is the limit
never underestimate the power of dreams and influence of the human spirit. We are all the same in the nation, the potential for greatness lives within each of us”...Wilma Rudolph.

Victoria Perzan is nine year old and in fourth grade at School No. 5 in Yonkers, New York. Victoria is enthusiastic about learning new things in school. She also attends im. M. Konopnickiej Polish Saturday School located in St. Casimir Church. Victoria joined choir a little over a year ago which is also located in St. Casimir Church. She always had a passion for singing, when she was younger she sang in front of us with her microphone. Now that’s she’s older, Victoria has found a love for horses and other animals. She attends horseback riding once a week and has piano/guitar lessons every Tuesday. When she grows up, Victoria wants to be a ranch vet and help animals in need. Other hobbies that interest her include swimming, Girl Scouts at school, and painting. Victoria always says “Be a unicorn in a field of horses” because no matter where you are or who you’re with, you should be unique and be yourself!
