The 2024 "Horse Play" Midwest Horse Fair is behind us on the calendar but that doesn't mean that the handful of memories we made will ever fade away. The move in was easy with event staff at top form and fellow vendors passing out hellos and hugs. Then on Friday young Ms. Sarah Bille, who has been coming by our booth for years, gifted me a sign she had made! Then a few customers and friends came by with their children that we had yet to meet --- that is a smile maker. Then a friend gifted me a farmer's market loaf of bread and a self-made homemade knitted hat from alpaca! So soft --- now I can't wait for one more cold front. Then the highlight of the whole shabang ~ a young man named Sawyer came by with his parents and he had as much or more passion for horse fencing then I have. I know it is hard to believe but nonetheless, it is true. I have a strong feeling he will be back next year so I had best be on my toes.
I love the Midwest Horse Fair and I love talking horse fences until the cows come home... so looks like I'll be back same place but different dates next April 2025.
One week from everything horse for three days! Madison Wisconsin --- moving horses Forward!
We install and instruct DIY'ers with the safest horse fences in Wisconsin and Illinois.
Electric fences, Finish Line (the wireless fence), Oak board, woven wire containment (by RedBrand), and Buckley Steel Board.
We do NOT install (or) instruct with PVC, plastic, vinyl, strap, or high-tension cables and/or electric strap or rope. Many other fence brands we have deemed unsafe as well --- If I wouldn't keep my horses behind a fence I wouldn't want you to use the product either.
NOTE: If you are thinking of starting a horse fence company --- there is plenty of room for others in this industry --- let us know and we can help you succeed.
Come by our booth at the Midwest Horse Fair next week April 19, 20, and 21st. Friday through Sunday --- what I consider the best show on earth! Find us in the Exhibition Hall booths 1010-1110.
The Midwest Horse Fair is next week!
Friday thru Sunday at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison WI.
In my opinion, it is the best show on Earth!
We are located in the Exhibition Hall with a four-booth block #1010 --- #1110
Stop by to talk horse fence ~ we install and sell/instruct DIY'ers.
This year the carpenter pencils are black and white --- make sure you get one or two.
It feels good to be outdoors.
Twelve months out of the year.
No better feeling.
Built a small horse paddock.
Easter Sunday.
Emphasis on small.
See you at the Midwest Horse Fair!
I have known since the day I was born, perhaps before? that women make the world spin.
Women In History: Marjorie Haines Gill Was An American Trailblazer - The Chronicle of the Horse Today we take for granted that equestrian disciplines are one of the only Olympic sports in which men and women compete on equal footing, but it wasn’t that long ago that remarkable female riders were shattering the glass ceiling. During March, we’re looking back at some of them. A version of th...
See you at the horse fair!
The Midwest Horse Fair 2024 is right around the corner! Three days of equestrian everything. IF you want to talk horse fence --- we are in the Exhibition Hall booth 1110-1112
We install and we want to be the Do-It-Yourself headquarters
We will be at the Midwest Horse Fair this year inside the Exhibition Hall booths 1010 and 1110 (and the two booth spaces next to them) selling what we do best --- Horse Fence!
We install throughout Wisconsin and Illinois AND we want to be the Headquarters for Do-It-Yourself horse fence builders not just in our little slice of Elysium but anywhere and everywhere.
We only install and sell equestrian containment systems that we would keep our own horses behind, so that would be;
1. Finish Line monofilament strand (wireless)
2. White Oak 'Kentucky' wood rail
3. Woven Wire (RedBrand)
4. Buckley Steel Board
5. Sp*edrite Electric (energizers & strand)
We can both install and teach you how to contain your horses (and other critters) safely behind these five fence systems.
We have been doing this for twenty years and though I keep saying I have a decade left in me... I also need anyone thinking about or already starting to build horse fencing for a living to stop by and talk shop, trust me.
I also try to build something every year to draw attention --- get people to stop. Wander on by and see what I did this time.
The Midwest Horse Fair ~ Best show on Earth!
I can brag better than the average bear...
I think I install Buckley Steel Board
far better than the average bear.
Over the past two decades
All over Wisconsin & Illinois
I have built more horse fences
Than anyone else.
Old school meets new school in equestrian containment.
4-rail White Oak and 5-strand Finish Line, with two Sp*edrite Ultra-Wire electric strands.
Do NOT p*e on this fence.
The guys & gals at Sp*edrite invented the agricultural electric fence out of New Zealand and I exclusively use their products to contain horses and an occasional goat.
The solar energizer by Sp*edrite we use is a dream! Easy to install and delivers peace of mind.
The safest horse fence on the planet!
Just trust me.
5-strand Finish Line with two Sp*edrite electric strands.
I am not certain IF I am "allowed" to sell items here on my Business page, but since they say it is not against their "community standards" for unknown people to sell clothing on my business page with my Company logo --- surely since this is my page I have the same rights as others --- on my page, right?
Well, I always have left over and extra material for sale.
Sixteen foot White Oak boards
16 ft roughsawn White Pine boards
Also shorter lengths of both
(2) eight foot Priefert Bull Gates --- red color
(2) six foot Priefert Economy gate --- green color
(1) 100' roll of 60" keepsafe with V-mesh Red Brand woven wire

Sp*edrite electric fence testers [the best!]
Surely, facebook sees this as an authorized attempt to sell?
Contact me via message or phone. Thanks.
I almost always have a few extra White Oak boards on hand --- If anyone has a need.
There might be a little hillbilly in my DNA.
Just saying.
You might be a horse fencer IF you count a template among your best friends.
I had so much fun building and displaying the Doll Barn several years ago for the Midwest Horse Fair that I am seriously considering building another one.
I've thought about it for years ~ drafted a few versions, took notes of ideas, and collected building materials. What I need is the impetus, the drive, the motivation to labor for a couple hundred hours...
My question to Thomas Horse Facebook fans is should I?
