I want to share this community post about the passing of my clients Father, Mr. Baldo Hernandez. He was a great man, may he rest in peace. My condolences to my friend & her family thru this very difficult time.

It’s more than just a hair appointment for some, it’s moments like these that we share together that truly make me appreciate my job even more. We go thru so much together & as I approach my 18th year as a stylist…. These things never get easier.

Today, we grieve with the Westside Elementary School community on the passing of their beloved Superintendent/Principal. Baldo Hernandez was the Superintendent/Principal of Westside Elementary School for more than 40 years and loved by so many. We join his wife, family, school board, staff, students and community in grieving his passing. Please join us in keeping the community in prayer.

There’s this special woman who works there and today is her final day at our local Walmart. Maria moved here from Azores, Portugal in the 70s for a better life. From cleaning homes, working two jobs , financially supporting her family and to her 10+ year career with Walmart- she’s finally retiring. This was her first job as an American- she put so much pride into work.

Maria, my mom is an amazing woman who has selflessly given the shirt off her back, helped many in the community even when she had little to give, a Nina to many whom some she didn’t even know but wanted to spread love.

A breast cancer survivor 💓
