I killed my rosemary last year, so maybe these tips will help next time.

So far we have planted carrots, beets, several lettuces, corn, green beans, and spinach!

We are guaging interest in a couple of ideas. I will post more details later on cost, ect... These will be trial runs and very limited at first. Please comment below if you would like more information.

First up is canning classes. We are trying to plan a strawberry jam class in May or early June and then a tomato or salsa class in July.

The harvest has not been grand this season. We do have a few things for sale.
Okra - $3 lb (not available in bulk)
Candyland cherry tomatoes are $3 a pint
Cherokee Purple tomatoes are $1.50 lb Yellow squash $1 lb.
Jalapeños or banana peppers $1.50 lb
Bell peppers 3/$1

We have Candyland extra sweet cherry tomatoes for $3 a pint. Message me to arrange pick up.

Any interest in swiss chard?? Picked this morning $2 a bunch. I will have more towards the end of the week ♥️

Carrots 2023 complete 20 pints sealed and about a quart made into candied carrots to go with dinner tonight

16 pounds of carrots harvested and cleaned this morning 🤤 Now to get them cut and canned. These are so sweet and are going to taste great this winter! We will be planting more next time and hopefully have a few to sell.

We only planted a few beets to see how they would grow here. I wish we had planted more. I pulled them today and made pickled beets, we only got 9 pints 😥 Next year we will plant more!

It has been a busy morning!!
So far we have done regular morning chores, cleaned a chicken coop, tilled some more of the garden, pulled grass out of the strawberry bed, picked a few strawberries, cut some fresh herbs to be dried, planted Swiss Chard, and John is out now cutting the grass! Now it's time for a glass of ice water!
