Well the 1st of May is here and Flatwater Outdoors is officially open for the season. As many of you know Wisconsin weather can be rather up and down this time of year. Let's hope for the best warm weather on the weekends. Looking forward to another exciting year of meeting new people and seeing familiar faces from previous years. No better way to spend a Saturday of Sunday than relaxing on the water enjoying the warm sunshine and seeing all the beautiful sight Wisconsin has to offer. Come try out some of our new equipment including the top of the line Blackfin XL paddle boards. Recently we took a trip to North Myrtle Beach and let some friends try out some of the new equipment before the Wisconsin season started. I hope everyone survived another Wisconsin Winter. Spring is in the air, the lakes and rivers are opening up, and in a little less than 30 days Flatwater Outdoors will begin yet another great paddling season. We will be opening the first weekend in May which this year happens to be Saturday May 1st. Below are some photos of some new equipment we will have available this season, with more on the way. We have added Blackfin XL stand up paddle boards, and soon to come will be some 12 ft sit on top rec/fishing kayaks, in addition to our fleet of 10 ft sit in kayaks. The new Blackfin XL paddle boards are rigid inflatable paddle boards. The Blackfin is the premium top of the line paddle board. They are 11'6" long, 34" wide and as you can see from the photos they can be configured many different ways from a single seat kayak position, tandem, or the traditional stand up and paddle board. These boards have a load rating of 485lbs. They are a great way to enjoy the water from any or all of the configurations you see, and that I have mentioned. They are extremely light weight, weighing in at just 27lbs. With the single seat they are great for those who are a little older or those who are not as mobile as they once used to be. They are great for an adult and child, two average size adults or larger framed individuals. These boards will provide comfort for all that choose to paddle one of these. The Blackfin is an extremely stable platform to paddle from. We are also looking forward to the arrival later in May of the 12 ft sit on top rec/fishing kayaks that will also offer increased comfort and cargo space. Keep posted for new updated pricing and offerings for the 2021 season. We are looking to see familiar faces and hopefully many, many more new faces this season.
