Captain Jacks BBQ Crew knocked the dust off this weekend and competed in one of our very favorite competitions the Fire Ant 🐜 Festival in Ashburn GA! After a year off the BBQ trail we had a little help from our friends getting back into the game! Thanks to Matt Lee for the use of the Lang & meeting us halfway to pick it up! Thank you to Darryl Strickland for all of your moral support and help with getting us back in the groove with our timeline! Thank you to our crew for everything! Harry & Theresa Fallin your assistance is appreciated more than you know! We had an amazing time and didn’t do too bad for our first cook in awhile! We had a 6th place Brisket and an 8th place Pulled Pork! 14th in Loin & 16th in Ribs for an 11th place overall! We will definitely take that with the field of teams that were there! Congratulations to Posse BBQ on Reserve Grand and to our good friend Cary Chasteen of Hold Your Horses on winning Grand Champion! It was so great to see our BBQ Family this weekend! We want to say how very proud we are of our Niece Hannah, she earned 7th place in the Kids Burger Challenge! Congratulations to our friend Wes Watson on his perfect score in the prelims of the Pizza Cook-Off! The first perfect score to be earned in the PCA! We look forward to this next chapter in our bbq journey!
