Nestled in between stations of the new Green Line Extension and the Somerville Community Path, Junction Park is a valuable public space for Somerville residents and commuters alike. The City of Somerville has chosen Crowley Cottrell to lead the way in envisioning a new design for the park. This project will expand the existing 25,000 square foot park by converting the adjacent parking lot into an additional 22,000 square feet of valuable public space. The expansion and new design will offer a place of refuge for active and passive users along an active transportation corridor. We are excited to see Junction Park become a green oasis in the heart of Somerville! Stay tuned to follow the transformation.
Exposed aggregate concrete path and lily pads leading to stone seat walls that enclose the library courtyard at NBS. Planting up next! We had a design/build relationship with @mjcataldoinc on this one which worked out great! #exposedaggregate #exposedaggregateconcrete #fieldstone #funwithconcrete
