Balance & Core
Don't let it scare you! This class focuses on strengthening the ab muscles & finding balance. Finding balance is sometimes difficult because our minds are racing, and we tend to hold our breath during stagnant moments. To balance requires focus & steady breathing!
A strong core provides a solid foundation for any workout. It also improves posture and, therefore, soreness throughout the body. Taking time to mindfully move the stomach muscles also improves digestion!
This class is labeled intermediate & can be a little cardio intensive, but as always, it can be done with modifications.
Turning In
We're often told that yoga isn't just about moving the body, and it absolutely isn't. During this class, we'll dive into emotion to move through them both physically and mentally.
Here is a good place to start if you're looking for an easy, guided mediation practice! You'll notice we've asked to bring a journal. We begin this session with writing prompts that are designed to evoke emotions we may have been letting sit stagnant.
There's no element of athleticism in this class. The goal is to offer a safe space to honor emotion.

Mellow Out Monday
A restorative Yin class is perfect for the end of a rough Monday. This session is a slow-paced flow holding asana for an extended period of time.
While Yin yoga is slow & low impact, the challenge comes in surrendering and allowing the body to hold pose for 2-3 minutes at a time. The purpose is to alleviate tension and anxiety by allowing time to sit with and observe uncomfortable emotions or physical sensations as they arise. Yin yoga targets deep connective tissue, such as ligamates, fascia, and joints.
Welcoming Savasana at the close of class is more rewarding than any other class. The easy movement and deep breathwork allow you to move fluidly into an ultimate moment of rest.
Invite your body to sink deeply into this restorative practice and hold a safe and expressive space in our community.

The Stress & Rest session focuses on honoring the healthy balance of the two throughout life.
At times, it's a struggle to appreciate the necessity of having stressful periods in life. These times of challenge are times of growth, of strength. These are the formidable seasons of the universe pushing us to be our highest self. Respect the stress. Learn from it. Don't live in it.

💫I M P O R T A N T 💫
In our society, we've been conditioned to always grind. Always work. Always capitalize. We're conditioned to compare & compete. Compete for what? We're all meeting the same fate at one time or another.
The periods of rest are periods of recharge. Take this time to replenish the body battery. During this class, let yourself melt into restorative periods. In life, slow down. Give the grind a break. Give yourself a break. There's nothing wrong with slowing down & romanticizing beautiful simplicity.
Rest allows us to face Stress with a clear & level head. Stress gifts us an appreciation for Rest.
