EDIT. Looking for someone who can do this as a favor, just one flyer to post online. There is no budget as I pay for everything needed out of pocket so I’m asking for someone who can volunteer to make one. I can make a flyer but don’t have the ability to add a QR Code. I also have a person who can do one but he is making my banners right now. Thanks!!

Looking for someone to create an online flyer with a QR code that leads back to our page. Message or text me if you can help out! I don’t know how and I don’t have anyone else who knows how to make a flyer. Just need one flyer I can send out and flood the internet with! Let me know! Thanks!

Good morning!

I’m looking for someone to set up a corn hole tourney at the event! Colorado Corn Hole Connection is already booked and I’m not sure if any other companies.

I was thinking a FF vs LEO, girls vs boys etc. Get a hold of me through text to let me know if you have any ideas! I think we can set up 6 boards in a designated area I’d the back lot at the Rock Rest.

Thanks!!

Just thought I’d share some good news about our event in July!

This is our new, permanent logo! Instead of the year in the wheels that we have to change for every event we just put 24/7. My Dad was the 4th DFD hired in 1972 make the 24/7!

The Sentinels MC’s Mother Chapter will be there! They are a LEO ridding group.

We have a couple new vendors that come from first responder families and we encourage anyone who wants to sell their wares. The “fee” is a donation of your wares to our raffle. Set up is first come first serve but has to be done by 8:30, we need a few minutes to set up the ceremony.

We also have 3 new confirmed vendors and they also volunteer! We have a few return vendors that already have their spaces.

We really encourage First Responder and Vet vendors to come out and set up! We will support you and your business! We also encourage info booths to set up. If you have info and such to help our FR and Vets or anything to do with mental health and the likes.

If this sound like something you’d want to do, text me! 720-471-6338!

Our comfy chairs are in for our volunteers who work the tables and grab yourself a pin when you get there! Maybe someone here knows a custom pin maker that is reasonable so we can get some? Let me know!

5280Fire will be sending a reporter to cover the event, especially the Bell ceremony, final call and LODD memorial we will be doing.

Did I mention that Uncle Nasty from 103.5 The Fox will be there that afternoon to chill with and support us!?! HE WILL!

Just wanted to give y’all a quick peek! Don’t forget to hit the like button for our page and share it and our event! Let’s support those who support us!

So where will y’all be on July 13th? ♥️🤘🚒

Su***de is only a stigma when it’s a secret. Let honor our brothers and sisters in uniform with a proper send off. In memory of my dad..Denver Fire Lt. and PIO Tex Wharton. EOW: 7-4-94. COD: Su***de ♥️🚒

Good morning everyone! Hope you all survived the biggest blizzard we have had in years here!

This is in Idaho Spring Co at my house. I included a few of yesterday before I could shovel. 41”!

Today is the big clean up. There are stranded cars everywhere. Please be mindful of our first responders and city/tow workers as they work hard to get our roads back to normal. Move over and give them room.

We’re taking a break from shoveling and I’ll be investing in a snowblower. But for now..Tank and Isla are relaxing and I’m considering a quick nap myself before we go back out.

Be safe! Move over! Watch for our first responders and city plows!!

Photos from Ride For Life 24/7's post 14/03/2024

Hey there!

Seems as though Snowmageddon is upon us!! From the tunnel to Castle Rock..the first spring blizzard of 2024 is going to rock us!

Plows and other city trucks have been staging since this morning and they will be out in force tonight! Watch for their lights and MOVE OVER!!!

There is no place anyone needs to be tonight unless you’re literally a first responder or city worker for the snow. Let’s make all of their jobs safer and easier by staying home!

If you must be out..go slow and steady. Stay safe and warm and get to where you’re getting to in one piece!

EVERYONE GOES HOME SAFELY! 🤘

March 12, 2002 at this very minute I was standing in the hallway of University Hospital in Denver minutes away from starting my live liver donation surgery. I was giving half of my liver to a Golden Firefighter who had a hereditary bile duct infection that couldn’t be traced.

I was scared outta my mind. The surgery was major, the risks were high and I was hoping I’d die during the surgery. It had been 8 years since my Dad had taken his life in front of me and all I could think about was joining him. I wanted to die this way so my kids wouldn’t have to live with me, my depression and mental health issues..and for the love of God..I just wanted to be with my Dad. But I did not want my kids to live with the stigma of su***de because of my choices.

I prayed everyday to a God who wouldn’t answer my prayers to take me. I had 3 major surgeries in 7 days due to complications and I spent hours and hours under while they tried to fix all the leaks and tears in my liver. I was the one in trouble now because my liver fit perfectly in my firefighter recipient.

Every time I opened my eyes after each surgery I was disappointed. How could God let me down like this!?? I just wanted the pain from my own thoughts to end. GOD!?? What the hell is wrong with you?!? Please take me! I screamed over and over in my mind that all I wanted was the pain from Dads su***de to stop. And it didn’t. Not then. Not now. The difference is in my ability to cope with his loss since then..and how I move forward from the pain.

When I woke up from the initial surgery my room was filled with family and friends. A few days later there was a note taped to my door that said “no visitors” I was in critical condition and fading. I had had over 100 visitors that first week between surgeries from the fire department, friends and family..but the grim reaper never showed up, he just stood at the door quietly waiting for me to go. But look at me all living and s**t.

Here I am now, 22 years later. My mindset is different, I know why I’m here…I am here to do my best to insure that first responders and vets know that there is help, there is hope thru the Ride For Life 24/7. I wish I could save all of our first responders and vets..but I could only save one. I was free falling into my rock bottom and I had to figure out how to save myself so I wouldn’t take the same path my Dad did. My Dad was Denver Fire Lt. and PIO Tex Wharton. The greatest firefighter who ever lived.

Please come out and help us raise money for our peer support teams. Denver Police Dept lost one of their own last week to su***de. It won’t be the last. Our Vets and First Responders need us like we need them. Let’s be the help they need. Let’s be the change we want to see in this crazy world. And let’s help save the ones who help save us.

See you in July at the Rock Rest Lodge in Golden for our Ride For Life First Responders~VET Mental Health Benefit

They need us like we need them. Let’s show them we are here to support their mental health needs, they deserve this help. If you are in crisis please reach out. Ej Voit

Not sure what has happened but let’s keep our Thin Red Line Family in our thoughts tonight. 💔🚒

It is with a heavy heart we would like express our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of one of our local first responders.

Please keep our community in your prayers as we mourn the loss of a man who gave freely of his time in an effort to provide a vital service to others.

Good morning everyone!

Hope everyone is doing well as we head into spring and our event draws closer!

Behind the scenes we have been working hard to get the details of the event together. We are still in need in a big way for vendors. If you’d like to sell your wares or if you have an info booth you’d like to set up, contact me! 720-471-6338

Some exciting news is that Ej just completed a peer support taking class for Castle Rock Fire, he understands the need for him to not only be prepared to help someone else..but to be in tune with his own mental health.

I will be starting peer support classes with The Colorado Connection beginning at the end of March for 8 weeks. It is a class for our first responders and vets who need to keep up on the latest tools to help others and ourselves.

This year at the event look for UNCLE NASTY/GREGG STONE from 103.5 The FOX to pop in and say hi and join us for some good food, great music and awesome people!!

Let me know if you are interested in volunteering, vending, riding or just supporting! If your small business would like to donate a check we will provide the tax receipt just write the check directly to Denver or Castle Rock Fire and add RFL 24/7 to the memo with your email and we will take care of it.

Thanks for your support! My kids and I appreciate you!! Ej Voit
