Separation of Church and State is unconstitutional because it is found nowhere in the Constitution...

The first amendment provides that there be no establishment of an official national religion, like the Church of England. This was what the Pilgrims were trying to escape. They wanted the freedom to practice Christianity as they saw fit. The first amendment also states that the government shall not interfere with the free exercise of religion. Thus, its purpose is to keep religion free, not hide it behind a wall. Similarly, the fourteenth amendment provides that there will be no establishment of an official State religion. Again, keep religious practices free from government control. The actual phrase "Building a wall between church and state" is found only in a letter by Jefferson. And what was his point? That we need to protect the church from the government, NOT protect the government from the church! This means that the government should not interfere with things like prayer and Bible reading in school. Look at our history. Prayer and Bible study were the core curriculum in our early schools. But, now somehow it's just antiquated? Also, prayer and scripture can and should be part of government official's public life. This is how the founders envisioned it. They had long, exhaustive prayer meetings before they would deliberate. Conclusion: "Separation of Church and State" is found nowhere in the US Constitution and religion must be protected from the government and those seeking to eradicate it from public life.
