Rockford students learn the ins and outs of journalism with new pilot program A new journalism initiative at a Rockford middle school is encouraging students to find and use their voices.

We love hearing from our educator fellows! Mapleton Middle/High School is a small rural school near the Oregon coast. Kate Huber, an ELA teacher at Mapleton, shares how leading her students through a Journalistic Learning project has made an impact in the classroom and community!

Journalistic Learning is a systemic approach that infuses journalistic strategies into required ELA courses.
