As many of you know, the head of the department of agriculture was in western Wisconsin last week. One of the announcements made was a grant approval for the Town of Montana. The town economic committee applied for funds to erect the world's largest chicken in honor of our poultry producers.
Our small township is home to 23 poultry barns which results in an amazing number of fowl per person.
The town board would like your opinion on where to place the new statue. Please go to the following link and let us know what you think. Your opinion matters.https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PY372CN

If you missed the satellites last night, they may pass over again tonight, and two space stations. After that there is a good chance for some northern lights. Details: You can see two space stations at once this evening! The International Space Station passes from NW to N (left to right) 6:17-6:19pm. Turn around to see China's Tiangong pass from W to S (right to left) 6:18-6:22pm. And there's a chance to see the latest swarm of Starlinks passing high overhead from W to E 5:44-5:47pm. Much to see as we await possible northern lights.
it was a nice show tonight
The latest batch of Starlink satellites are predicted to be visible the next three evenings (W/Th/F) as they orbit over the Driftless Area of WI/MN/IA/IL. Watch for them rising in the west around 5:40pm, passing high overhead, and fading into Earth's shadow in the east near bright Jupiter around 5:45. This swarm was launched Monday, so they may still be bright and close together. Predictions can be challenging as the satellites change orbits and orientation, so adjust your expectations and enjoy the November sky.
