Final exams prevented our underclassmen from participating in the annual flag placement event so we called on a couple of future Angels and made it a family affair. 75,000 flags in 1hour… impressive.

Filling their jars is always bitter sweet, but we like the new tradition of filling it on graduation day. Congratulations to Brooklyn Baranoski (USMC), Wrigley Fanter (Lehigh University) Camryn Kinsella (Truman State University), Madison Patrick (University of Tampa), Samantha Patrick (University of Tampa), and Sydney Walker (University of Kentucky). All of you will do amazing things!

Our Angels Softball season has come to an end after taking a 2-0 loss to Beecher HS. This is the toughest loss of the last 3 seasons because it means an end to the HS careers of our 6 Seniors who have meant the world to JCA. 4 of 6 Seniors have been staples in the lineup for 4 years, 2 are transfers that were the missing puzzle pieces for us to be a true team. Thank you Seniors for everything you have given & done for the Angels SB program. Underclassmen… it’s your turn now. We all know you got it!

Congrats to Sr Sydney Walker & Fr Annabel North on their Confirmation. May God bless you as you continue in our Catholic faith.

On Wednesday May 8th, twelve of our JCA students were sealed with the Holy Spirit through the Sacrament of Confirmation. Along with the religious ed program at St. Joseph’s church in Joliet, a total of 26 students studied and prepared for this sacrament and embraced an adult role in their faith. They have made Bishop Hicks, their families and the JCA community so proud. May God Bless Annabelle, Nolan, Salma, Sydney, Francesca, Matthew, Alondra, Kale, Koen, Cheyenne, Georgia and Derrick.

A student athlete does something that even adults around her didn't think to do Joliet Catholic Academy student and softball pitcher calls time out during her game last Thursday in the WJOL Softball Tournament - Camryn Kinsella was on another field but heard the National Anthem and called time out in respect.
