We are excited to announce the release of our next project, Red Radio by MostlyBlue!

Pre-saves are now available, the album releases March 22nd.

Red Radio marks the debut album from MostlyBlue, a folk and Americana singer-songwriter. Interesting fact, MostlyBlue is Samson's father! Samson is a student and staff member who works with our A&R team.

We have been working since last semester to prepare this album for release. We've been creating graphics, finalizing a marketing plan, and navigating the process of distributing the album to streaming platforms. We can't wait to share it with you!

Pac Ave Records Set to Release Best of Pacific 2021-22, a Student-Curated Compilation of Conservatory Performances

University of the Pacific’s student-run record label, Pac Ave Records, is excited to announce the release of their latest Conservatory compilation, Best of Pacific 2021-22. This EP will be available on all major music platforms on December 1, 2023.

Best of Pacific 2021-22 is the second compilation in Pac Ave’s Best of Pacific series. This series includes student-curated recordings of performances by artists, ensembles, orchestras, symphonies, and other performances hosted and recorded by UoP’s Conservatory of Music.

To make this release possible, students are tasked with attending performances, determining which ones should be included in the compilation, then seeking and attaining proper licenses to release their chosen recordings. Faculty and students are also encouraged to submit their favorite performances for consideration.

As part of Pac Ave Records’ Album Curation and Licensing team, students gain real world, hands-on experience with the intricacies of mixing audio for commercial release, attaining licenses and permissions to legally release copyrighted compositions, the collection and flow of royalties, graphic design, digital distribution, public relations, and marketing.

Pac Ave Records will continue working closely with the Conservatory of Music to release compilations annually.

Students working on our Album Curation and Licensing team are responsible for attending Pacific Conservatory of Music performances, taking notes, and curating recordings of those performances for compilation albums. Conservatory faculty and students are also encouraged to submit their favorite performances for consideration.

We are excited to announce our next compilation, Best of Pacific 2021-22, will be available December 1st, 2023.

Best of Pacific 2021-22 includes performances by Pacific Wind Band and Pacific Singers. The full track list includes all three movements of Viet Cuong's Re(new)al as performed by Pacific Wind Band in addition to Pacific Singers' performances of Shirat Ha Chag, Winter Wonderland, and Mary Had A Baby...just in time for the Holiday season.
