There are tons of strategies out there that are geared toward improving your post workout recovery. Much like Claire’s block tower, you can stack these recovery strategies on top of each other, but if you don’t have a solid foundation of the basics, you may find that your recovery isn’t as effective as it could be. Build a solid foundation of the following: Sleep (at least 7 hours or at least 8 hours if you’re working to build strength). Nutrition: get enough calories to fuel your workouts and give your muscles the materials they need in order to build. Hydration: You need to replace the water you are sweating out. Aim for half your body weight in ounces (if you weigh 200 pounds, try to drink about 100oz of water). The rest of the strategies are helpful as well, but do the basics consistently, and you’ll find the other blocks will multiply your recovery.

Beyond Physical Therapy was created because I saw a need in my own life. Working full days Monday through Friday makes it really difficult to carve out time for appointments. This forces me to rely on those rare professionals that work outside the typical 9-5 workday.
If you’re like me, you work hard so you can play hard, but that doesn’t mean getting professional medical treatment should be hard. Beyond Physical Therapy is a hybrid practice. We have a “home base” office inside Strive Fitness where you are welcome to receive treatment, or we can come to you. We will meet you in your home, gym, or office and deliver cutting-edge individualized care that takes less time than traditional physical therapy. We will do our best to get you back to your sport or activities you love faster than most traditional medical treatments.
Beyond Physical Therapy focuses on individualized sessions using the latest in treatment methods including soft tissue mobilization (similar to massage), cupping, dry needling, and joint mobilizations/manipulations (similar to adjustments) to give your body as much help as possible so you can recover faster than you would with traditional treatments. In addition, these treatments are on your own time and at your preferred location, making recovery as efficient as possible.
