Yesterday, I got to watch a beautiful wedding from behind the lens and saw something unfold that was just breathtaking...

All she wanted was an outdoor ceremony on the property that she grew up on. The old wooden barn reflecting the history of the family as a backdrop. Surrounded by family, friends, and just enough time to say, "I do." But the odds were against her with 90% chance of afternoon thunderstorms.
As she held out as long as she could to make that call of keeping with her heart or moving everything inside, the clouds held their water just long enough for her dream to come alive.

Vanessa, your grandmother was there holding your hand as she did when you were little. This is a very special place, It was a very special day and a very special couple who made this experience into a story for everyone around you. I truly believe she played a part in making this event unfold as it did. Just magical. 💕

Congratulations on such a memorable moment and time for you and Travis. May God bless you both with many more years on this next chapter of life.

The path of growth is constantly evolving. For the past few years, I felt like I had been in a dormant stage of creativity. Walking through the motions of taking pictures, it was really hard for me to express what I saw or how I wanted to be seen through my photos. Just this year, I shifted my mindset that I have created a newfound love that I had lost.

WHEN AUSTIN STOPPED. 🖤

I dove through Austin the day before they went into a mandatory stay at home order. It was raining just like today and made me sad to see this beautiful city empty.

When I moved here in 94' I remember the excitement I felt moving from west Texas to the city! So many lights and big buildings, traffic and construction all over the place. A life that I thought I would never see stopped.
Fast forward to 2020. Condos, high rises, more people and even though construction has never stopped seeing this city empty brought a feeling that I never thought I would feel.

I know these times are temporary and we will be stronger in the end, but I had to document this time. Even if it meant I never got out of my vehicle.From the back seat of my car. Family, music, and a little light of faith because I have HOPE we will all be ok in the end.
