Traditional Arts Today in Ferdinand would like to find someone to take over my Ladies in Literature herbal teas. If you are interested, I would be happy to sell you what herbs I have in stock, and even my tea recipes, for a very reasonable price. It’s a very low key business that could have been more profitable if I’d had the time, and tech expertise, to promote it more. Please let me know if this is something you’d be interested in doing. On Thursday, February 23rd at 6pm, the Jasper Public Library will be hosting a special presentation on one of Dubois County’s most achieved individuals, Ida Hagen. Kathy Tretter will give a look into the life of Ida Hagen who is known for being the first postmistress in Indiana and being the first documented African American pharmacist in the country. The presentation will take place in the Black Box Theatre in the Community Arts wing. Please use Door 11 to enter.

Thank you to all of you for the outpouring of support since I announced the closing of Good Food Dear Friends. This was a very difficult decision, and I am humbled by the kind words and understanding.
I’ve mentioned to a few that I may put together a cookbook so these wonderful treats can still be shared with the food sensitivity community. I have gotten a LOT of positive feedback on that idea, so I think I’ll look into going forward with it. It won’t happen overnight, but I’ll keep this Facebook account open so I can keep you updated on progress. Thank you again for being the best part of the last 4 years.

It is with deepest sadness that I announce that Good Food Dear Friends, Ladies in Literature Herbal Teas, and Holland Girl Farm are closed, effective immediately. Thanks to all of you, my dear friends, to my wonderful assistant Jeanie, and to the very supportive businesses that carried my products for helping me in this mission of love and sweet treats. I have found myself unable to carry on in the current economic state. Those businesses will continue to sell GFDF treats as long as their current stock holds out, including teas and mixes.
I have been so honored these last 4 years to be a part of your breakfasts and special occasions. Thank you.
